About Our Community
The location of Brookdale Alhambra, formerly Emeritus at Alhambra, is appealing to the residents because we are in the heart of downtown Alhambra conveniently located near doctor offices, city hall, library, post office, library, bus stop and restaurants. We are only 5 miles from downtown Los Angeles and within walking distance of many local parks. Brookdale Alhambra is unique as we are a hidden gem providing excellent care and great customer service which caters to the Asian population. On top of the Western menu, we also have a choice of a Chinese menu which we serve authentic Chinese food. In addition, we offer Tai Chi and Mahjong as for activities. Our care givers, kitchen staff as well as directors speak many different languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Spanish and English which makes us a very diverse community!
The staff is well trained in providing excellent customer service and exceptional care for our residents. We have numerous staff members who can speak different languages to communicate with residents to service their needs. Each potential employee of Brookdale Alhambra undergoes a background check to make sure all of our residents are safe.

Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
One of the many reasons why families chose Brookdale Alhambra is because of the diversity of its residents. Many residents enjoy an active lifestyle by participating in learning Tai Chi or playing Ma Jong. We also offer excursions to the museum, walks along the beach, and an afternoon learning the history of tea making once a month.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Brookdale Alhambra works closely with various health care providers. We work closely with Care More to provide services for each resident who different needs. Brookdale Alhambra participates in local events on a monthly basis if not bi weekly pertaining to the season.
