About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Brookdale Central Chandler, formerly Emeritus at Chandler – and throughout Brookdale senior living communities – has shared since 1999, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our senior living community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Brookdale Central Chandler is privileged to enjoy sunshine daily all year long. Set on five acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, Brookdale Central Chandler is located in the Greater Phoenix area. Nestled between businesses and residences, we offer a warm, comfortable environment that caters to your need for convenience. Our community is just minutes from downtown Chandler, shopping malls, the senior center, the Center for the Arts, and a great park for walking and feeding the ducks.
Because we are located close to Highways 101, 202, 60 and I-10, our community is easily accessible. We are also within one mile of Chandler Regional Hospital and several skilled level rehabilitation centers, if ever needed.
A Wonderful Selection
Our small, homey community has 64 senior apartments all on one level for easy access for our residents. Our apartment selections include one-bedrooms, private suites and friendship suites options. Here our residents enjoy retirement living within a comforting, homelike environment. Yet should they need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to their needs. We’ve designed our services to focus on wellness, helping them maintain or improve their health, so they can live as independently as possible.
Whether dining with friends in the dining room, relaxing with a good book in the library or kicking back in the TV room, gazing at the stars under the gazebo or strolling with friends along the walking paths in the courtyard, it gives residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another and enjoy each other’s company. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, home cooked meals, and off-site excursions. Each day at Brookdale Central Chandler is about living life to the fullest and letting us take care of all the mundane daily chores.
At Brookdale Central Chandler, we pride ourselves on the longevity of our staff. The resident assistant team is comprised of professionals that have tenures as long as 11 years in our building. Brookdale Central Chandler has been very selective in choosing our team. At Chandler, only those with a commitment to service and longevity as a goal are accepted into this family.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
At Brookdale Central Chandler we cherish our residents’ freedom of choice and rely on their feedback through the resident council as it relates to planning activities and programs they enjoy. The essence of laughter in the hallways each day is the direct result of a monthly calendar filled with inspiring activities. Choices in social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creativity are offered and encouraged. Our residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment and outdoor excursions with a peace of mind that if care is needed, it is available.
At Brookdale Central Chandler, our life enrichment director works with the residents to create a monthly theme. For example, we have Bridal Month in June and Mothers’ Extravaganza in May. These events draw crowds of participants for fun, food, laughter and socializing. We also have Reminisce Group, Welcome Committee and the Resident Ambassador Program available.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Brookdale Central Chandler is an avid participant in the local community. Our community relationships allow us to host events that add quality and value to the lives of seniors and those who serve them. A variety of events are held within our community that will nurture the mind, body and souls of the people of Chandler. We host monthly Alzheimer’s support groups, Parkinson’s groups, and educational seminars that relate to health issues and financial support.
Three homemade meals are served each day. Each meal offers a salad and choice of two hearty soups to start, an entree and a dessert. Meals are served on fine china in a restaurant-style atmosphere, so that residents can enjoy conversation with the company at their table while having a satisfying culinary experience.
