About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Cliff View – and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities – has shared since 2000, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with spectacular views of the southern Utah landscape, Emeritus at Cliff View is considered one of Utah’s premier assisted living and Alzheimer’s communities. Emeritus at Cliff View is located in the picturesque town of St. George, Utah. Our community overlooks the Southgate Golf Course and, further off, you can see the beauty of the red rocks of southern Utah mixed with the local canyon land peaks.
We are located in close proximity to several reservoirs and national parks as well as a great number of venues, which cater to retirees and seniors. We are also within 20 minutes of Dixie Regional Medical Center and its affiliated multi-specialty clinics and physician offices. The Veteran’s Memorial Highway (Hwy 15), is easily accessible from our community which makes travel to and from Salt Lake City – or bordering Nevada and Arizona – very convenient.
A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Cliff View offers assisted living services as well as memory care –in an environment where residents can enjoy a wonderful lifestyle with the security of knowing care is available if needed. Our community has several styles of studio and one-bedroom apartments to choose from. All of our apartments are spacious, bright and cheerful! Each apartment includes a small kitchenette with sink, refrigerator and microwave. Emeritus at Cliff View’s apartments also have an extra-large bathroom with walk-in showers and safety grab bars, wide doors, individually controlled air conditioning/heating systems as well as an emergency call system.
With its palm trees and tranquil waterfalls, Emeritus at Cliff View’s outdoor areas are a favorite place for residents, families and guests to relax or stroll about.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
In order to provide a seamless continuum of care for our residents, the Emeritus at Cliff View staff has established and nurtured strong relationships with our area hospitals, rehab and skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice agencies. More specifically, we have a partnership with Mountain Land Physical Therapy to work with residents on site in our community for physical, occupational and speech therapies in the comfort of their home.
We hire the people you would hire. If you were going to hire one person to care for your family member, you would probably interview more than just a few, and you would do a complete background check. You would be looking for the person who will provide care, but also respect and friendship. We feel the same way. We seek to hire only those individuals who are passionate about senior care as their occupation.
Emeritus at Cliff View’s care staff is fortunate to have both a full-time registered nurse and licensed practical nurse in addition to our certified nursing and resident care assistants to support our residents. We are blessed to have staff members who have devoted their life’s work to serving seniors as well as their families. Many of our team members have been with us since our community first opened. They are passionate about what they do, and it shows in the way they take pride in their jobs, how they care for each resident with dignity, respect, love and a heavy sprinkling of fun and humor!
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
We rely on our residents’ own interests and hobbies as we design our community’s activities program. Choices in social, cultural, educational, physical and creative activities are all strongly encouraged. Our transportation is offered numerous times every week to enjoy local attractions and events in St. George.
Some of our favorite activities include our book club, cooking classes, gardening, music programs, movie night, karaoke and outdoor excursions to enjoy this region’s pleasant weather and breathtaking views! We also offer exercise classes, church services and arts and crafts. Games are also a big draw — residents love to play Bingo, Trivia, Scrabble, card games and even participate in air-hockey tournaments! Our staff, residents and families always look forward to celebrating each holiday together enjoying magical parties, which will always include delectable menus, festive decorations and party memorabilia!
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Emeritus at Cliff View is dedicated to staying connected and active in the St. George area. We have a tremendous relationship with our community and participate in most local festivals, fairs, school events and other activities. Our community is also a proud supporter of the Southern Utah Alzheimer’s Association. We support this cause by hosting monthly educational events and support groups for our families as well as members of the greater St. George community. Cliff View holds fundraisers throughout the year to benefit our local Alzheimer’s Association.
Emeritus at Cliff View offers restaurant-style dining for our residents, and we encourage them to invite their family and friends! Our chefs are proud of their culinary skills and are always striving to serve our residents foods they will enjoy.
We serve three delicious home-cooked meals daily. Since most of us like to have choices, our dining experience should be no different; therefore, we always offer an alternate meal choice. Menus change daily and often reflect the bounty of the season. Our chef is always open to suggestions and encourages our residents to share their input for menu planning.
