About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Courtyard Gardens—and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities—has shared since our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful—a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our retirement community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Located in beautiful Lawrenceville, Georgia, Emeritus at Courtyard Gardens Personal Care and Memory Care Community is an ideal community for your loved one. From a relaxing atmosphere to themed events to day trips, Courtyard Gardens is a truly well-rounded community of care and support. We are located about one mile from Gwinnett Medical Center and surrounding Physicians. Shopping, Movie Theaters, and restaurants. Conveniently located to both Hwy. 316 and the 85.
A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Courtyard Gardens is a very warm and relaxing place to be. We have four different floor plans to choose from as well as Companion Apartments. Our residents enjoy onsite Physical and Occupational therapy, library, ice cream parlor, beauty shop, and spacious common areas. All of which is decorated in traditional Southern style.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We partner with many different Healthcare providers in the local area including area Doctors. Some of these providers help with the continuity of care provided by coming to our community to see their patients. We have a visiting Podiatrist, Physician’s Assistants, Senior Mental Health providers, Home Health, and a visiting Dentist.
We have members of our staff that have lengthy tenure, some of them have been here since Courtyard opened thirteen years ago. We have very low staff turnover, the average staff member has been at Emeritus at the Courtyard around six years.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Emeritus at Courtyard Gardens provides a variety of activities and social events both inside and outside of our community. We have weekly shopping trips, lunch bunch, and trips to the senior centers. Once a month there is an opportunity to join the group on outings to places such as local museums, plays, and The Georgia Aquarium just to name a few. We also have a variety of entertainers that come to our community on a regular basis. In the past year Courtyard residents have been entertained with Magicians, ventriloquists, pet therapy, Musicians, Dramatic readings, Line dancers, and Ballet dancers to name just a few. We have everything from theme parties to barbecues, and of course Bingo too.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Emeritus at Courtyard Gardens hosts informative and educational talks and seminars on a variety of topics. Gwinnett Medical center and Eastside Heritage provide residents and their families with information on health related topics such as Diabetes care or the importance of exercise for example. We also have speakers that provide information on topics such as VA benefits.
Our Dining Services Director has been at Courtyard many years providing excellent meals for all who live here. All residents have at least two choices of entrees at our main meal time. We also have special themed meals from time to time. Our Dining experience is elegant, yet relaxed. Great food and conversation with friends.
