About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Harrisburg – and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities – has shared since 1997, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our senior living community.
The Perfect Location
Emeritus at Harrisburg is located just off exit 69 on RT81. The community is just minutes from downtown Harrisburg and the surrounding area. Emeritus at Harrisburg though located just minutes from I81 is nestled on 2 acres of beautifully landscaped lawn with plenty of outdoor space. It is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, museums and the state capital.
A Wonderful Selection
We offer different accommodations to fit different budget needs including both shared and private studio apartments. Each senior apartment has a large garden window, spacious closet and walk in shower. Emeritus at Harrisburg is a small, cozy community situated on all one floor. With only 65 residents you can rest assured that the staff will not only know your name but also likes and preferences. You can enjoy one of our beautiful outdoor patios or watch TV and play games in the Library. We also offer a wide range of activities, home cooked meals and off site excursions.
We have a solid staff of core individuals who have been with the community for many years. In addition to our core staff we leave our door open for talented and warm individuals.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Each day we offer a variety of activities to fulfill our resident’s social, physical and spiritual needs. Residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment as well as regular outdoor excursions.
In addition to our daily activities we offer regular gatherings where our residents, their families and our staff can join together to enjoy each others company and socialize. One of our favorites is our Luau with grass skirts, island music and island themed menu. Everyone comes together to eat the delicious food prepared by our dining staff, sing, dance and laugh together.
Our Dining Services Director prides herself and her staff on preparing delicious home cooked meals each day. Dough is rolled from scratch, soup and desserts are homemade and all are served restaurant style in a relaxing atmosphere.
The North East Division held its BOD (Business Office Director) Boot Camp recently. There was great energy, teamwork, learning and sharing going on and the enthusiasm was contagious! We would like to extend a great big thank you to our Business Office Trainers for coming on over to the North East Division and giving us [...]
