Emeritus at Kingwood

24025 Kingwood Place Drive
Kingwood, TX 77339

About Our Community

We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.

Emeritus at Kingwood is a brand new senior residential community. This newly constructed community has been specifically designed and built for seniors whose needs range from assisted living and memory care, to short-term rehabilitation. As we open our doors, we invite you to visit us anytime!

The Perfect Location

Emeritus at Kingwood is located in a beautiful suburban area of Kingwood, TX, a master planned community about 23 miles north of Downtown Houston (just off of U.S. 59), and only nine minutes north from Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The Kingwood area, also known as the “Livable Forest,” was named “Kingwood” after King Ranch, one of the original developers. The historic King Ranch, the “Birthplace of American Ranching,” is one of the largest and oldest active ranches in the United States!

But, Kingwood is best known for being a community that exists in harmony with nature. Kingwood’s heavily wooded acreage is canopied with tall pines and magnolias, along with 20 other types of shade trees. The community is host to a variety of wildlife including deer, fish, birds, and more, that can be found in the 500+ acres of private nature preserves and parks. More than 75 miles of hike and bike trails run through Kingwood’s naturally beautiful woods and lakes. These trails are great for walking and exploring.

Kingwood is also a thriving commercial center. Big name retail, shopping, and dining venues call Kingwood home, and can be found throughout the area, mostly near the front of Kingwood Drive and in Kingwood’s Town Center off of Lake Houston Parkway. Health-care services are also nearby, Columbia Kingwood Medical Center and Plaza Rehabilitation Hospital, along with several medical centers with a diverse offering of medical providers and specialties.

A Wonderful Place to Live

We are a sparkling new senior community that offers assisted living services as well as memory care and skilled nursing services. Our residents will enjoy a wonderful lifestyle, all with the security of knowing care is available if they need it.

While we have a wide variety of beautiful apartments, we dedicate plenty of common space for visiting, relaxing, reading the paper or enjoying a good book. Emeritus at Kingwood provides a concierge who can handle our residents’ special requests, a lobby café, a library and even happy hours.

We offer the option of extended care, including our innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®. This means that our residents can have a constant community of friends and staff, even though other aspects of their lives and health-care needs may be changing.

And with our Personal Transitions programs and our financial resource options, we have a wealth of tools to help families with the sometimes difficult transition into senior living. Emeritus at Kingwood is committed to making this change a positive experience for everyone, and will help your loved one adjust to their new surroundings.

Our Staff

We hire the people you would hire. If you were going to hire one person to care for your family member, you would look for the person who will provide care, but also respect and friendship. We feel the same way. We seek to hire only those individuals who are passionate about senior care as their occupation.

As a new team, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and service to our residents and their families. All of our caregivers undergo extensive, ongoing training. Their skills and knowledge encompass the aging process, accident prevention, communication techniques, infection control, and how to manage disruptive behaviors. They also attend intensive training for our memory care program, Join Their Journey. All employees understand the changes and challenges that occur with age, and with memory loss.

Our Community Lifestyle

A Wonderful Lifestyle

As we age, we don’t lose our taste for good food, interesting experiences, family and laughter, or our desire to live in a comfortable, attractive home. After all, these are the things that make us who we are, and keep life vibrant and exciting.

Emeritus at Kingwood has its own Life Enrichment Director, whose only job is to find new social, recreational and cultural activities for our residents. Resident life stories are gathered and explored to help our Life Enrichment Director understand each resident’s interests and hobbies as a basis for choosing activities. Choices in social, cultural, educational, physical and creative activities are all strongly encouraged.

Our transportation is offered numerous times every week to enjoy attractions and events in the Kingwood community or exciting downtown Houston.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

Our goal is to connect with a network of trusted professionals in the community so we can be the ultimate resource provider, and help any senior in need of a solution. We have unique relationships with the Kingwood and Humble area hospitals, rehabilitation centers and medical providers because of our own skilled nursing facility and medical staff.

Also, we partner with a local rehabilitation provider who provides physical, occupational and speech therapy on site in our community.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Not only is “Our Family Committed to Yours,” we also believe “Our Community is Committed to Yours.” We want to serve as a trusted resource for all seniors and their families seeking to understand and explore senior living, regardless of whether they choose to live with us.

We offer cultural, family-oriented, spiritual and educational gatherings, such as our monthly Memory Care support group. We’ll host regular informational seminars that cover topics such as financial solutions for senior living, or our Brain Health Lifestyle seminar. Being active in our local community gives us – and our residents – a true sense of purpose and connection.

Fine Dining

Emeritus at Kingwood has an experienced Dining Services Director on staff who prepares three delicious and nutritious homemade meals every day, including multiple menu choices for every lunch and dinner.

Meals are served on china in a restaurant-style atmosphere so that residents can enjoy conversation with their company at their table while enjoying an exceptional culinary experience. Our community offers the perfect combination of sensational food and good companionship for every dining experience. We also love to carry on our residents’ family traditions. Special occasions, private birthday parties and anniversary parties are always welcome in our private dining room.
