About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Lakeview – and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities – has shared since 1998, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our senior living community.
The Perfect Location
Emeritus at Lakeview is nestled between businesses and residences giving us a rural, warm feeling. We are located only minutes from Ohio’s capital city, making it far enough away to be out of the bustle and noise, yet close enough for convenience.
Emeritus at Lakeview is located in a quiet neighborhood with scenic views from every window and room. The building is light and cheery. Our residents have enjoyed outings to local attractions such as Slate Run Park, COSI, Columbus Zoo and Buckeye Lake.
A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Lakeview has three choices to offer for room size. Our apartment selection are ideal for individuals, couples and companions. You can retire peacefully to your apartment and then join in entertainment and socialization in our dining room and commons areas.
Our community provides 130 apartments for both Assisted Living and Memory Care Neighborhood. We have an on site Beauty Salon, billiard tables and a laundry room on every floor.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers such as: Mt. Carmel Hospital System, Ohio Health Hospital System, Altercare Rehabilitation, Winchester Place and Pickerington Rehabilitation. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff within these affiliations, we provide seamless continuum of care for our residents
Emeritus at Lakeview boasts the longevity and professional experience of our staff. The management team is comprised of professionals that have been in our building for an average of 7 years and have a combined total of over 90 years of long term care experience. We have been very selective when choosing who will make up our team to serve our residents; only those with the heart of a servant are accepted into our family.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Emeritus at Lakeview values our resident’s opinions and we rely on their feedback to plan activities they enjoy. Choices in social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities are encouraged. Residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment and outdoor excursions all with the security of knowing care is available if they need it.
We keep our residents busy with various activities, many geared towards the residents’ previous lifestyles. We have regular outings to local attractions and restaurants, Happy hour every Friday, card games, bingo, Senior Prom, State Fair Day, and many more.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
We are members of the Groveport Chamber of Commerce. The community is very involved with the Columbus Alzheimer’s association; as we participate in and sponsor Alzheimer events. As a resource for the general public, we offer many free educational programs related to aging.
Three homemade meals are served each day. We offer a restaurant style atmosphere so that residents can enjoy conversation with the company at their table while enjoying a satisfying culinary affair.
