About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Manassas— and throughout Brookdale senior living communities — has shared since 1997, when Emeritus at Manassas first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our retirement community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Set on six acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with meandering trails and lovely gardens, Emeritus at Manassas is one of Virginia’s premier senior living communities. Located close to I-66 just a short distance from Washington, DC, our community offers 75 bright senior apartments on two floors, all with lovely views. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our well trained, courteous and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. Our services focus on wellness to help you maintain your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
A Wonderful Selection
Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and wellness center — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including off-site excursions to Washington, DC. Our assisted living and retirement community is in a residential area near downtown Manassas, Bull Run and Signal Hill Parks, and close to a shopping mall, Target, Wal-Mart, and full selection of restaurants. Prince William Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility are also located nearby if ever needed.
Residents have created the best history books in the world. “We are ‘us’ because of their legacies. It is with great pride and honor that I serve them.” Emeritus at Manassas is known for hiring some of the most compassionate, dedicated individuals in the senior living industry – individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities in which they live.

Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Emeritus at Manassas life enrichment directors plan a variety of exciting and educational events throughout the year, ranging from brain health fairs to Fourth of July barbecues to Thanksgiving feasts. The goal is to keep our residents socially engaged and provide their families the opportunity to learn and celebrate with them.
The primary goal of our life enrichment staff is to plan activities that are fun for residents, while also promoting brain health. Our retirement living activities incorporate all the chief components of brain health, including the nutritional, social, spiritual, physical and intellectual aspects of mental well-being. The result is a wide variety of stimulating programs for our residents, include Walking Club, Game Club, Tai Chi, Yoga, dance classes, guest speakers and excursions to cultural events, just to name a few.
At Brookdale, we understand all the benefits that pets can offer. We also know that many of our residents can’t imagine life without their furry, four-legged companions. So when we say, “Our family is committed to yours,” that includes this important member of your family.
When you make a move to senior living, you shouldn’t have to give up your pet. That is why Brookdale Senior Living has Pet-Friendly apartments available at many of our communities nationwide for pets under 20 pounds.
Our skilled and knowledgeable chefs prepare three healthy, flavorful meals and three snacks a day. They also work closely with our registered dieticians to accommodate residents with a variety of dietary modifications, from low sugar to no salt-added diets. All meals are served in our lovely dining rooms, restaurant-style by our gracious wait-staff. Our residents enjoy a variety of side dish choices, beverages, salads, fruit plates and sandwiches made to order – served at both lunch and dinner. Our dining services director plans festive special occasion dinners served throughout the year. Please stop by and experience the taste of premier senior living! We would like to invite you and your family members to join us for a complimentary lunch at Emeritus at Manassas.
