A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Mandarin is a big retirement community with a small town atmosphere. We offer 3 senior apartment styles with each offering full kitchens. We offer studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms two baths; the community offers some of the largest apartments in senior housing.
Emeritus at Mandarin is 4 stories with 149 senior apartments; it is a big community with a small town feel. Each floor boasts an activity room and a view of our atrium. One of the best features of the building is our large pool and deck, perfect for those hot days.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff within these affiliations, we provide seamless continuum of care for our residents.
Emeritus at Mandarin has more than 30 years of Senior Health Care experience. Our staff goes through an extensive orientation process, training, and updated training regularly. We live by our brand promise which is “Our family is committed to yours”.

At Emeritus at Mandarin we value our resident’s opinions and we rely on their feedback to help create our daily, weekly, and monthly activities. Everyday is filled with many choices in social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities are encouraged. Residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment and outdoor excursions all with the security of knowing care is available if they need it. Residents can also enjoy many activities around our pool. Emeritus at Mandarin offers a full calendar of events including: Entertainers, day trips, social gatherings, arts, crafts, games, and many other resident inspired programs.
Partnering with the Local Community
Emeritus at Mandarin is part of the Jacksonville community hosting events to the public monthly as well as attending events throughout Jacksonville. We host many events to the public centered around educating seniors and the general public on these topics. One of our events that we are very proud of is our Labor Day picnic that we open up to the general public showing our appreciation for all of those in the community.
As an Brookdale community Mandarin participates in many local events helping bringing awareness to the local community. We are highly involved in the Alzheimer’s foundation as well as other foundations dealing with diseases affecting seniors.
Emeritus at Mandarin employs a restaurant style dinning menu and service. We offer multiple choices at each meal and some special diets to meet your needs. Chef Ted has been recognized throughout the Jacksonville community as a leader in the dining industry.

Paris for Valentines! Emeritus at Mandarin did a Parisian themed Valentine’s Party. We decorated with lots of Eiffel Towers and everyone had barrette. Right after a very special meal in the dining room, our residents came out to enjoy music and candy. They even had a visit from a Brownie Troop who brought handmade Valentine’s.
