About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Meadow Lodge; and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities — has shared since 1998, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our retirement community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, lovely gardens and walking trails, Emeritus at Meadow Lodge is considered one of the premier communities in Northern Massachusetts, an area known for its unique residential, technological and industrial mix. Centrally located in North Chelmsford, with easy access to Routes 3 and I-495, our community offers 79 senior apartments on two floors. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and friendly staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. Our services focus on wellness to help you maintain your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
A Wonderful Selection
With its family-friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community, Emeritus at Meadow Lodge feels like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and TV room — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including active clubs, exercise classes and community outings.
Emeritus at Meadow Lodge is conveniently located in a residential area off the main road, yet close to a bus route, shopping and restaurants, as well as lovely Silver lake, Friendship Park and all of the wonderful beaches of Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, just 25 minutes away. Several medical facilities are also close by, including Lowell General Hospital, Saints Medical Center and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
Brookdale is known for hiring some of the most compassionate, dedicated individuals in the senior living industry – individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities in which they live.
Our Community Lifestyle
Independent Senior Living
If you or your loved one can still do everything for yourself, but would like to live among peers, this is a very good option for them. Residents of independent living communities continue to live the same lifestyle they did at home. These communities usually have on-site staff members that provide a small amount of supervision. These communities offer a “maintenance-free” living option, and often offer extensive activities, events and programs for their residents. Many studies have proven that being socially active is good for both mental and physical health.
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
The Life Enrichment Program at Brookdale was designed to add joy, purpose and meaning to the lives of our residents. At Brookdale, our approach to life enrichment means offering retirement activities and programs that reflect the talents, interests and personalities of the residents in each of our senior living communities, while also offering new experiences that will challenge them and keep them mentally healthy.
Pet Friendly Living
At Brookdale, we understand all the benefits that pets can offer. We also know that many of our residents can’t imagine life without their furry, four-legged companions. So when we say, “Our family is committed to yours,” that includes this important member of your family.
Our skilled and knowledgeable chefs prepare three healthy, flavorful meals and three snacks a day. They also work closely with our registered dieticians to accommodate residents with a variety of dietary modifications, from low sugar to no salt-added diets.
We had a fantastic turnout at our Classic Car Show & BBQ on Sunday, June 8. Many families came, as well as residents of the surrounding communities. Our residents are still raving about the awesome four piece band and how great of a day it was. There was a constant line at the BBQ food [...]
