Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
We have a wide variety of activities here at Emeritus at Park Avenue Estates. We take weekly trips to Wal-Mart and downtown for shopping, banking and use of the pharmacies. We also go out of town shopping trips monthly and make an entire day of it! We have a daily schedule with activities starting as early as 8 a.m. to card playing or even Bingo going until sundown. We team up with some local entertainment from singers, dancing or speakers of interests. Candlelight seems to be one of the favorite times of the month. This is a time where our residents invite friends and families to join them for an evening meal with them to wind down and catch up after their busy lives. We also involve special outside groups that reserve our private dining room for get-togethers of all kinds. Our local churches come in to provide bible study, mass and church services as well. Our Life enrichment coordinator is full of energy and is open to ideas that our residents interests are.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
We have quarterly events as well as monthly that we invite friends, families and the public to join us for block parties, cook outs, car shows, exotic animals and petting zoos. We also have adopt a grandparent, so school kids have a chance to bond with a senior that may not have grandparents close. Our schools bring their band, swing choirs and cheer leaders over to entertain for us as well. These are just some of the many exciting ways to keep the public and community involved with Emeritus at Park Avenue Estates.
We provide restaurant style dining with 2 main choices, and alternates as well, available at every meal. We have birthday dinners, candlelight & welcome parties that residents have fun choosing the meal that they would love to have. Our dining service director has been in the food industry for years. She has food council to listen to your different ideas or food interests that you may have. One of her favorites is the recipe swap for different baked goods, desserts or main dishes that you use to cook.
