About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Rockford – and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities has shared since 2000 – when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our senior living community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Set on over two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, Emeritus at Rockford is considered one of the premier assisted living and Alzheimer’s communities in the region. Located close to I-90 and Bypass 20, our well-maintained community offers 97 apartments on two floors. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. Our services focus on wellness to help you maintain your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
With its warm, family-friendly setting, Emeritus at Rockford feels like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our common areas; including our lovely formal dining room, TV room and library — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including our Card Club, exercise classes and community outings to nearby Rock Cut, Balman and Sinnisippi Parks. While Emeritus at Rockford is located in a rural area, our community is near CherryVale Mall, as well as several strip malls, banks and all that nearby Belvidere offers. In addition, several medical facilities are nearby, including St. Anthony Medical Center, Swedish American Hospital, Rockford Memorial Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
A Wonderful Selection
We offer studio, alcove and 1 or 2 bedroom apartments and we also offer cut through apartments. Emeritus at Rockford is beautifully landscaped with front and back patio areas. Our community also has fun common areas; such as, a game room, coffee room, library, and pool table for residents to enjoy. Emeritus at Rockford prides itself on the dining experience. The meals are mainly homemade food items, served on china and linen. Residents also have the option to use the private dining room to entertain their family during visits.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We are affiliated with Alzheimer’s Association. Emeritus at Rockford participates in the annual Alzheimer’s walk. We are Rockford Chamber of Commerce members and participate in their many monthly gatherings.
