About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
A 4 Star Skilled Nursing Rating
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, maintains a Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers compare skilled nursing facilities. This rating system is based on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. We are proud to say our overall rating at Emeritus at San Dimas is 4 Stars. This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at San Dimas — and throughout Brookdale Senior Living communities — has shared since our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our retirement community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Set on acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens, Emeritus at San Dimas is considered one of the premier continuing care communities in the Greater San Dimas area. Located near Highway 57, Highway 210 and Interstate 10, Emeritus at San Dimas offers a full urban lifestyle. We are located in close proximity to Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, Raging Waters Theme Park, Pacific Plaza Shopping Center, Westfield Eastland Shopping Center, American Emergency, San Dimas Community Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus San Dimas offers 90 Assisted Living units, a 25 bed Memory Care Unit and a 45 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Its warm, family-friendly atmosphere makes it feel like home the moment you walk through the doors.
Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, TV room and library – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We offer a wide-range of activities each month, including family nights, holiday parties, dances, physical and fitness activities, spiritual faith programs and numerous resident clubs (Bridge, Men’s Club, Quilting, Decorating and Travel). Our residents love staying active and we like to make it easy for them to do so.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
We have built excellent relationships with the area hospitals, managed care organizations, senior centers and Physicians over the years. Those relationships have allowed us to build a strong reputation in the local healthcare community.
Brookdale is known for hiring some of the most compassionate, dedicated individuals in the senior living industry. Our employees go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities in which they live. We carefully selected from top healthcare professionals in the area and keep them educated with ongoing training. Relationships are important to us and our care is what sets us apart from other communities in the area.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Our wide selection of daily activities includes trips to plays and movies, dining out, shopping, Bingo, entertainers, games and exercise. We offer activities that promote the 5 aspects of brain health: spiritual, physical, mental, social and nutrition. The community van is available for transportation to medical appointments, with a reservation, within a 15 mile radius. Residents have access to the van for personal use as well but will receive an additional charge.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
The community has interaction with various clubs and organizations in the immediate community on a weekly basis. We sponsor chamber of commerce and senior events, as well as health fairs at local hospitals. We also host VA benefit workshops as well as senior living presentations. Our residents often enjoy themselves at area functions like Farmer’s Markets and dances.
Our residents enjoy restaurant-style dining with two entrée selections, soup and salad at every meal as well as an “always available” menu. All meals are nutritionally balanced and prepared with special needs if required. At Emeritus at San Dimas we take great pride in creating exciting entrees for our residents to enjoy!
