About Our Community
Brookdale Snohomish, formerly Emeritus at Snohomish, is a Snohomish, WA assisted living and memory care community. It is an located on the beautiful old town historic site popular to many. There are always antique shoppers roaming the streets for that precious find and bicyclists passing through on their way to a grand adventure. We are right across from Emerson Elementary so the residents can enjoy the joyful sounds of children at play. Add all this to our park-like setting and cottage lifestyle and what could be more perfect. We are close to parks, clinics and local culture.
A Wonderful Selection
This beautiful community is located in the midst of a charming residential neighborhood. There are six cottages serving 84 residents, each staffed with Resident Assistants available 24/7 to assist with the activities of daily living. Each cottage is like a large house with 14 bedrooms. Each studio has a private half-bath, some have kitchenettes with plenty of space for the necessities as well as precious memorabilia. What makes Brookdale Snohomish so special is the friendliness of the people who work there and the overall “feel good” feeling you get when you visit.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Thanks to our excellent care program, we have healthy professional relationships with the local clinics, home health agencies and hospitals. Some of our best referrals come from the discharge planners, physicians and social workers in these organizations. These particular organizations have first-hand knowledge of our care levels. Many of their clients are our residents.
Our residents and their families often describe our staff as kind, loving and friendly. We are proud of our team members who go above and beyond to serve each one of our residents by providing them the dignity and respect that they deserve.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
It’s a Wonderful Life; bingo, pinochle, cribbage, bridge, poker, scenic rides, picnics, ice cream socials, arts & crafts and the list goes on. There are least eight activities to choose from each day. The Life Enrichment Director is always on the run. After morning exercise, the bus leaves with a group for a grocery store/library trip, then back by noon for lunch followed by arts and crafts, a social at 3pm and the day winds down at 6pm with jokes and funny stories.
Partnering with the Local Community
Every year our local Chamber of Commerce sponsors an Easter Parade. The ladies go to the local Senior Center to decorate hats and then ride in the community bus for the parade.. Many of the residents are charmed every month by the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the local Girl Scouts Troop when the kids host a social for them. They always bring something for the residents whether it is a treat or a handmade gift.
We serve all American homemade food with the taste and comfort of home. Each cottage serves breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant style. There is always a main entrée and an alternate plus menu items for special dietary needs.
Holidays are always festive. Thanksgiving and Christmas are celebrated family style and many special occasions are celebrated with food. Birthdays and anniversaries, Halloween, Super bowl, Easter, Valentines, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Cinco d’Mayo, Fourth of July and the list goes on. Our dining experience is special because the residents have choice, small dining rooms with never more than 16 seats and it is just like home.
