About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Spring Mountain- and throughout Brookdale
Senior Living communities- has shared since our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful- a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our senior living community.
The Perfect Location
Emeritus at Spring Mountain is nestled in historic Marietta, Georgia, near the historical Civil War sites of Cheatham Hill and Kennesaw Mountain and Battlefield. We are less than 5 miles from 2 of Metro Atlanta’s major hospitals, as well as their associated physicians of multiple disciplines. With the aid of our wheelchair assessable ramp, we are just a few steps away from Publix Shopping Center with includes a nail salon, dry cleaners, two restaurants and a UPS store. We are a short bus trip to Towne Center Mall and Marietta Square with it’s antique stores, restaurants, theaters and museums.
A Wonderful Selection
You will be welcomed at Emeritus at Spring Mountain, in true southern style, by our rocking chair front porch. Once inside the first thing you will notice is… it feels like home. You will find residents pursuing a lifestyle of their choosing, by engaging in activities, reading the newspaper, enjoying freshly popped popcorn or sharing a cup of tea with a friend. In addition, our courtyard areas provide ample opportunity for walking, bird watching and gardening. Equipped level with sidewalks and gazebos, both our memory care and our senior living courtyards offer outdoor enjoyment in a park like setting.
Caring Professional Relationships
As advocates for our residents, we work hard to find outstanding service providers, including Home Health, Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Physicians, to enhance the care that we provide to our residents. Those personal relationships allow us a level of communication that ensures that our residents will maintain their highest level of independence. In addition, we partner with several local churches and organizations like the VFW and Cobb Senior Services, to provide our residents with a strong connection to special interests in the community.
At Emeritus at Spring Mountain, our staff is part of our family. We strive to nurture and support growth within our staff. We believe this encourages the long term relationships we share with our staff, allowing us to live our motto: “Our family is committed to yours”.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Family is the common thread with which we weave our community. We have monthly events that include not only our residents, but their whole family as well. After all, we as a family look forward to entertaining your family, in our home. Families and friends are always welcome to join in any daily meal or activity. At Emeritus at Spring Mountain, your family member can enjoy a lifestyle as engaging or relaxing as they desire.
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
Given the impact that Alzheimer’s Disease has on many of our residents and families, we at Emeritus at Spring Mountain have dedicated ourselves to be proactive in education and fundraising for this worthy cause. We have had book and bake sales, a resident art and jewelry auction, and on going “jeans for a cause” events to raise awareness and money. We, as a community team, participate in the annual Alzheimer’s Association walk. We regularly host educational events that help both our families and residents, as well as the community as a whole, understand financial resources and information relevant to the aging process.
Many folks believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At Emeritus at Spring Mountain, we believe that all meals are important. Start your day with eggs to order, bacon or sausage, grits or oatmeal and biscuit or toast. Pancakes and waffles, yes we have those too. Lunch is the larges meal of the day. Whether it is pot roast, meatloaf or Lillie’s famous mac and cheese, lunch is delicious. For our evening meal, we focus on the lighter side. Soups and sandwiches, salads and casseroles, no matter what the meal, you can be assured, the conversation and company will be delightful. If our scheduled menu is not your’ cup of tea” we always offer alternatives for your enjoyment.
This past week at Spring Mountain, we opted to have our Residents and Staff participate in a PAJAMA DAY, which enabled us to go about our day but with a twist of laughter and fun added to it.
Spring Mountain Spent the day as Romans with all day Olympic events that consisted of Javelin Throwing, Chariot Racing, Shot Put & Disk Tossing. Dining through out the day also contributed with Roman cuisine.
