Emeritus at Stafford provides the look of an elegant resort with the feel of home. 77 senior apartments are on two floors with a grand staircase or elevator for convenience. Relax by the floor to ceiling fireplace in the winter, or on a rocking chair on the porch in the summer. Enjoy the company of friends with some lemonade in the sunroom or with popcorn in the theater. Each day at Stafford you’ll have time to enjoy life and to trade your household chores for the joys of retirement.
Strong, Caring Relationships
We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers such as, Southern Ocean County Hospital, Genesis Rehabilitation, Arcadia, Seacrest, and Fox Rehabilitation. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff within these affiliations, we provide a seamless continuum of care for our residents.

Emeritus at Stafford, an Brookdale Senior Living community, proudly participates in the Home Visit Program – winner of Assisted Living Federation of America’s 2010 Best of the Best Award for innovative best practice. Our Home Visit Program is a complimentary service for local seniors. During a visit we help connect seniors with the vital health, social and support services they need to maintain their quality of life at home.

Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, walking path, and an old-style front porch complete with rocking chairs, Emeritus at Stafford is considered one of South Jersey’s premier senior living communities. Our common areas, including our lovely dining room, sunrooms and lounge with fireplace, give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. Residents also enjoy watching the classics and newly released films in our movie theater.
At Emeritus at Stafford we value our residents’ opinions and we rely on their feedback to plan activities they enjoy. These activities include exercise, happy hour and brain-healthy games. Residents enjoy a variety of live entertainment and outdoor excursions to local area attractions, such as Surflight Theatre, restaurants on Long Beach Island, and picnics at the lake.
Partnering with the Community
Emeritus at Stafford’s residents and staff participate in local community events such as food drives, Toys for Tots, and Taste of Southern Ocean. Residents also craft items for local hospitals and animal shelters. We are passionate about being active in the Southern Ocean County area. Our focus is to hold events that add quality and value to the lives of others. We hold monthly Alzheimer’s support groups, educational seminars to offer help with health issues and financial support. Annual events include Founder’s Day Parade, ChowderFest and Memory Walk.
