About Our Community
We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Villa del Rey — and throughout Brookdale assisted living communities — has shared for more than 35 years, when Villa del Ray first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care.
The Perfect Location
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor courtyard and nestled in the heart of the Napa Valley, Emeritus at Villa del Rey-Napa is one of Northern California’s premier retirement communities. Located just off Highway 29 in the center of Napa’s medical community, our senior living community offers 83 apartments on two floors.
A Wonderful Selection
Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and TV room — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities every month here at Emeritus Villa del Rey and beyond, including excursions to the Lincoln Theater, Opera House and casinos. Our retirement community is located near many beautiful parks and convenient to shopping, with Safeway, Luckies, Marshalls, Wal-Mart, Target, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods right in the neighborhood. In addition, a major acute care medical center, rehabilitation hospital and nursing home rehabilitation center are close by if ever needed.
Residents have created the best history books in the world. “We are ‘us’ because of their legacies. It is with great pride and honor that I serve them.” Brookdale is known for hiring some of the most compassionate, dedicated individuals in the senior living industry – individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents and in the communities in which they live.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
The primary goal of our life enrichment staff is to plan activities that are fun for residents, while also promoting brain health. Brookdale Senior Living retirement activities incorporate all the chief components of brain health, including the nutritional, social, spiritual, physical and intellectual aspects of mental well-being. The result is a wide variety of stimulating programs for our residents, include Walking Club, Game Club, Tai Chi, Yoga, dance classes, guest speakers and excursions to cultural events, just to name a few.
Our goal is to support your loved one in being purposeful and successful each day. We use the detailed Life Story to understand your loved ones hobbies, careers and interests and then turn these ideas into activities in which they can participate in every day.
We have witnessed first-hand the wide range of physical and emotional benefits that pets have provided for our residents. Not only do they offer companionship, they can also lower the risk for heart disease, and help ease any feelings of stress, depression or loneliness. We would love to have you and your pets make an Brookdale community your new home!
Our skilled and knowledgeable chefs prepare three healthy, flavorful meals and three snacks a day. They also work closely with our registered dieticians to accommodate residents with a variety of dietary modifications, from low sugar to no salt-added diets.
