Date Change is effective: Phase into production, June to August, 2000, product-dependant.

Description of Change and Purpose:

• New supplier/ process topology for fabricating Champion's RASCO integrated circuit.

• Drop-in replacement, form fit and function, for the existing RASCO IC.Customers will experience no change in electrical characteristics of output waveform.

• Change from Enable/Disable to true tri-State disable output. Only significant change to functionality of oscillators rendered from this new IC is the change from output disable VH, to a true Tri-State Output Disable function. See attached chart for specific comparison.

• Products Not Retrofitted: The following products will not be retrofitted with this new IC, because of circuit incompatability, and should be considered for replacement with other Champion alternates:

• Rasco Plus Series at frequencies above 20 MHz

• K1523BA Series above 35.1 MHz

Your Champion representative will be in contact with you to recommend specific replacements. All other products indicated on the attached listing shall be retrofitted with the new RASCO IC, and phased into production in the mid-summer months as the new IC is dropped into these designs. No part number or revision number will be issued as a result of said change. Reliability data on this new IC and its manufacturing process is available upon request from Champion's quality department.
