For outdoor activities, we are conveniently near Shelby Farms and the Wolf River with its recreational trails. Medical facilities are close by and we are centrally located between three of the top hospitals; the brand new St. Francais Bartlett Hospital, Baptist Memphis and Methodist Germantown Hospital. There is even a skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility right next door if ever needed.

A Wonderful Selection

Brookdale Cordova has a wonderful, warm, family atmosphere that will make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. It’s a one-story ranch style building with 76 apartments in three sizes to choose from. Common areas include a lovely dining room, chapel, activity room and TV room. The favorite common area for both residents and family is the recreational room which is complete with pool table.

Our Community Lifestyle

A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle

When asked what her job is, our Life Enrichment Director’s answer is always the same, “I get to do the fun stuff” and the residents are quick to agree. We start the day with Stretch and Flex, a low impact, stretching exercise and from there the day opens to a blend of inside and outside activities ranging from shopping, luncheons and movies to games, golf and giggles. There is a unique activity calendar every month and we strive to see that there is something for everyone.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Brookdale Cordova is an active member of the community providing educational seminars, participating in public events and hosting the Neighborhood Association meetings. We strive to make a difference in not only the lives of our residents, but also in our community by becoming the face of awareness.

I knew even before we signed the contract, readied Mama’s new apartment and moved her to Brookdale, that she would love living there.  From the moment I walked into their lobby and met the staff , I was sure this was THE place for her. Every single time I went to see Mama in the days and weeks after that it was obvious to me how well she was being taken care of.  She was happy.  She participated in events and activities and she was more content than I had seen her in several years.  This was especially important to my family.  You see, my mama had Alzheimer’s.  Sometimes people with this disease can be a little more challenging, but that was never an issue for any of the staff.  If anything, they seemed to care about her even more.   They all made Mama feel special and loved and she loved them back.  It was such a blessing and a comfort to know that when I left there after visiting with her, she was happy and being well taken care of. I can’t say enough good, positive things about placing a loved one at Brookdale/Cordova.  I think it is the absolute best senior care community anywhere. -  Kay M., Daughter of Resident
I knew even before we signed the contract, readied Mama’s new apartment and moved her to Brookdale, that she would love living there. From the moment I walked into their lobby and met the staff , I was sure this was THE place for her. The first person I met when I visited Brookdale Cordova was Whitney Johnson, Community Relations Director. Whitney was my “first impression” of this community. Not only was she professional and knowledgeable about everything we talked about, Whitney’s demeanor displayed all kindness and heartfelt concern for the people who reside at Brookdale. She was so personable and genuine. She was so positive and affirming about Mama learning to adjust to this new life. I left there excited for my mama and relieved for our family…two things that were at the top of my list for a future home for her. But before my tour and our conversations ended that day and we began the process of reserving her an apartment, I felt as though I was sharing responsibility for Mama’s care and every day well-being to a trusted family member. Every single time I went to see Mama in the days and weeks after that it was obvious to me how well she was being taken care of. She was happy. She participated in events and activities and she was more content than I had seen her in several years. This was especially important to my family. You see, my mama had Alzheimer’s.
