Tucked back into a quiet neighborhood, Emeritus at Elm Grove Estates is located in Hutchinson, Kansas. This Midwestern town is only 39 miles northeast of Wichita. Hutchinson’s nickname is “Salt City” but is also referred to locally as Hutch. The population is approximately 43,000. Every September, Hutchinson hosts the Kansas State Fair and in March it hosts the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Basketball Tournament. Hutchinson is also the home of the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center which Elm Grove Estates residents regularly visit. Hutchinson has a thriving downtown area, complete with lots of shopping and many popular restaurants. Elm Grove Estates is centrally located and only a mile away from Promise Regional Hospital and the Hutchinson Clinic. It is also located close to many retail stores which makes shopping handy.

With its family-friendly atmosphere and wonderful caring staff, Emeritus at Elm Grove Estates feels like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and activities center — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including enriching visits to the Fox Theater and the Fine Art Center, and scenic visits to Carey Park. In addition to the community trips, residents have the opportunity to take in the NJCAA Tournament, which is held right in town every March. Emeritus at Elm Grove Estates is conveniently located in a residential area, with four golf courses, the Hutchinson Mall, Wal-Mart and many restaurants all within a few miles. Several medical facilities are also close by, including Hutchinson Hospital, Chalmers Cancer Treatment Center and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Elm Grove Estates is a member of the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce and is very involved in letting new people who move into the community to be aware of options they have for assisted living and memory care. We also belong to the Alzheimer’s association and provide a monthly Alzheimers support group for the community of Hutchinson and Reno County.
We have both staff members and residents that have been her for many years. That is what potential residents like to know and it always brings them peace of mind to know that we do have longevity.

A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
Elm Grove Estates has many different activities planned for every day of the week. Not only do we play games like bingo and jeopardy in our activity room but we also have many other opportunities. We take our activities bus on shopping outings and luncheons and regularly attend various activities in the community. We have monthly birthday parties and parties to go along with every holiday. At Christmas time we have our annual Elegant Dinner where the residents can dress up and bring their family to an extra special holiday dinner. We also have monthly family night where residents can bring their family to dinner and a special family party.
Partnering with the Community
Elm Grove Estates is hosting the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce “After Hours” this year on September 22nd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. On Mother’s Day weekend this year we had our annual Plant Sale and barbecue. It was open to the public and also to our residents. We also hosted our 1st annual “Spring Fling” this year where we had many different vendors from the community come and set up booths. We had fun booths with shopping and informative booths as well. This was for the public and for the residents. We are also hosting the Alzheimer’s walk this year in Hutchinson.
We offer restaurant-style dining. We have a very wide variety of meals that the residents enjoy. Residents can have their breakfast made to order. Lunch time features a delicious salad bar. We also offer items for residents with special diets such as low sodium or diabetic.
