About Our Community
Brookdale Hoffman Estates Golf Rd. is at the perfect location in close proximity from Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Chicago, Illinois. The entertainment options are endless. Try River Boat Gambling or a visit to Lake Geneva or maybe an afternoon at the Brookfield Zoo and many more fun attractions. Our location is also very close to St. Alexian Hospital which is practically in our back yard. We have three doctors’ buildings in the same vicinity. Woodfield Mall is only seven miles away and extremely close to Golf Rd., not to mention Chicago museums, cultural centers and sporting venues which are only a bus ride away.
A Wonderful Selection
Our community is surrounded by an 18 hole golf course, lending a beautiful view from any window within our community. We have three styles of rooms to choose from; Companion Suites (two separate bedrooms connected by an entrance hall), studios, and one bedroom suites. All have high ceilings which makes the room look larger and bright. All doorways are wheelchair excessible. There are also large closets, small apartment size refrigerators and storage space under the cabinet that allows the resident to store their goodies. We offer weekly housekeeping, laundry, shopping to Walgreen’s, Kohl’s, etc., and lunch at various restaurants. Other outstanding activities include activities such as cooking, baking, crafts, manicures and monthly birthday celebrations.
Our Community Lifestyle
A Wonderful, Active Lifestyle
We start the day with exercise to stimulate the residents’ mind and body. Twice a week they either walk inside or outside the community if weather permits. Residents play a variety of different games like bingo or word games. We also have great daily discussions about current events. We recently started a computer class where residents can learn more about technology or just hop online to stay in touch with family from anywhere around the globe. If your loved one is a pet lover, our local pet store brings in small animals for the residents to see, learn about, touch and feel. We love to celebrate monthly birthdays and family night. For those who want to go shopping, we have a weekly trip to a variety of different stores along with a weekly lunch outing. We also have trips to the salon twice a week for manicures and more. There is always a fun activity happening.
Partnering with the Community
We host an annual evening networking night with the Chamber of commerce. Twice a year we offer CEU training for Case Workers, Discharge Planners, Nurses and Social Workers. We also host a quarterly networking breakfast club which is open to different agencies in our area. Another great event we host is called the “Taste of Emeritus,” where our guests can lunch and learn about different senior citizen communities and senior centers.
Family nights and holidays are our favorites but we don’t save the fine dining experience just for the holidays. Our chef creates the taste and feel of well known restaurants in Chicago. Does your loved one have a special diet? That’s not a problem. We can also customize your loved one’s menu to fit his or diet at no extra charge. We have a large dining room and there’s always a place to sit and enjoy socializing and a great meal. Breakfast is the meal that residents start coming down to the dining for from 7:45am to 10:30am. Breakfast is at the residents’ convenience and we try to make sure that they are paired up with someone that they can either converse with or enjoy a quiet meal with someone sharing the same interests. Our head chef has been with us for many years and he is always willing to work with us to meet the needs for different social events.
