Holiday Diet

HOLIDAY DIET

There’s a wee bit more of me

Than I’d really like to see

The long and short of it

Is I should go on a diet!

But here’s a jolly holiday

More pounds may come to stay

How can I then relax

When I must face the facts

For velvets, satins, sequins

Look best when one is thin

Good food and smiles, I’ve found

Gather family, friends around

Oh, the treats that I could name

Every year it is the same

Should I not then recognize

Glitter comes in a larger size?

And remember when giving cheer

Togetherness is what’s most dear!
