Kindness is Ageless

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” - Aesop

Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. To celebrate, Brookdale residents from across the country are participating in our Kindness is Ageless campaign and handing out flowers to strangers. This is an opportunity for our residents to make a powerful impact without saying a word. Through the simple act of giving away flowers, our residents will show the world how easy it is to be kind for the sake of kindness, a sorely needed message indeed.

Brookdale residents, Punkie and Eleanor are excited to participate and kicked-off the campaign by sharing flowers with fellow residents. They note the health benefits of engaging in kind acts. This includes the secretion of endorphins, the body’s “feel good” chemical, and neurotransmitters like serotonin, which results in a positive emotional state and improved immunity. We are thrilled our residents will get these health benefits while making a positive impact because this is the backbone of Brookdale’s Optimum Life wellness approach.

Why not join our residents in changing the world and engage in a random act of kindness today? In fact, I challenge you do to it every day!

Keep up with our Kindness is Ageless campaign on social media! Follow Brookdale on Facebook and Instagram and use the hashtag #KindnessisAgeless.
