The Status of the Future of Health and Mobile Tech

Here is some updated news for this important market--Predicted, and Are They There Yet?

  • It was reported by the California Health Care Foundation that the Mobile Health App Market in 2015 would reach $23 billion; a study by the U of Michigan said this market would reach $24 billion by 2017 but still would have problems and not serve the population most in need.
  • Internet providers will lower the cost of connection. Getting there but new devices are faster and costs are higher than those predicted.
  • Governments will further increase adoption through reimbursements.  2015 became a great year for telehealth reimbursement; 2017 is predicted to be a banner year.
  • Devices will be reconfigured, loaded with data, and delivered to the market.
  • Companies with access to people's homes will incorporate sensors and become a favorable feature with the greater part of this market.
  • Clipable Watches will eventually be the majority style for boomers. Smart Watches will be increasing, especially Apple's products for older market.
  • Productive analytics will be proven to improve care and avoid costs. Getting there as many new companies enter the marketplace.
