Virginia's Poetry Corner

I encourage participants to write their own poems. A few make a stab at it. A lady new to Brookdale Orange City and our poetry group wrote this one. Marilyn is also hoping to start a Book Club for us. 

I look forward to the Poetry Corner

And am grateful to Virginia for

Sharing her talents and skills

In a dearth of culture, it’s better than pills.

It’s a chance for us to wallow in grace,

Which is often lacking in our dwelling place.

We get permission to think and feel…

To express our thoughts

And feelings which are real.

A lot of us face adversity

Our Poetry Corner

Gives us a bit of a university.
