A Never Fading Fandom

Whatever your age, you’re never too old to cheer on a favorite team. Being a true fan means sticking with your team through every game, every season, every coach, and every different player…good or bad, winning for losing, hated or loved.  Eighty-eight-year-old Donald Jungman, from Brookdale San Marcos North in Texas, exemplifies a hardcore, lifelong San Antonio Spurs fan.

An Army Veteran, Donald has participated in a variety of activities throughout his life living in San Antonio. He acted as the President of the Wild Game Dinner at his church and participated in the St. Luke's Men’s Club, coached youth baseball, and was a team leader on several Habitat for Humanity homes. Although he lived a very busy life, he and his wife, tried to never miss watching a Spurs game.

Thanks to Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living, Donald was given an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team in person once again and proudly sport the Spurs gear he had collected throughout the years.
