Our community is an intimate, two-story building designed to allow easy access for those with limited mobility. You’ll feel right at home in our charming community. We have many common areas such as an elegant dining room, a bistro, a wrap-around porch and terrace, a sunroom, living areas, quality furnishings, beauty/barber shop, plenty of outdoor areas and much more. But when you want some alone time, we offer private apartments that are comfortable, spacious and well-decorated.
Integral to life at our community are the programs, outings and opportunities for our residents to engage physically, socially and with purpose. Our philosophy incorporates residents’ individual interests, as well as opportunities that allow them to make meaningful contributions to each other and to the community, if they so desire.
We want to be able to serve seniors, no matter what stage of life you’re in. That’s why we are proud to offer two levels of quality care — Assisted Living and Memory Care. No matter what care level you need, our staff will work with you to help make your experience with us personalized and specific to you.
As an Assisted Living resident, our staff provides support with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing/showering and medication management. Help with everyday tasks can make a big difference in the quality of your life. It’s comforting to know that you can continue to live life to the fullest at Brookdale Ann Arbor — with the added security of a full spectrum of individualized care and wellness services tailored to meet your specific needs.
For seniors with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, our memory care community provides specialized care that provides a gentle structure and meaning to each day. Through a series of activities, including daily mental workouts and life skills activities, residents can achieve daily moment of success. This, paired with dementia-friendly menus, ensure residents can maintain as much independence as possible.
At our community, we can offer you or your loved one skilled Assisted Living or Memory Care. With each level of care, our staff is dedicated to supporting and caring for the individual’s needs. Whatever those may be.
Sometimes you may need a little extra assistance with daily tasks, such as bathing, getting dressed or getting to and from places. But the last thing you want is for a community to come in and control your world — ordering you around and dictating what you can and can’t do. Not the case with Brookdale Ann Arbor.
We work with you, as a partner. Our aim is to provide you with the most amount of independence possible to live a safe and healthy lifestyle. We will sit down with you during a personal service assessment and listen to you. We don’t push a one-size-fits-all Assisted Living care plan on you. Instead, we will work together to create a custom and personal plan that you are comfortable with.
Our process is unique to Brookdale, and service fees are based only on what you need. We strive to deliver quality service and care to each individual, with regular review of service plans to meet residents’ changing needs. Our compassionate staff is trained to deliver assistance with respect for your independence. And they deliver that service with a smile.
Our approach to Memory Care is based on a few different factors. First of all, we incorporate the latest research and information on Alzheimer’s and dementia to provide our seniors with the best possible care. But we also factor in residents’ physical and behavioral needs, as well as life history. We want to create a well-rounded care plan that utilizes the latest research while also providing an individualized and personal experience for our Memory Care residents.
In order to deliver this care in the right way, we carefully select our staff members to ensure that they will provide care with respect, compassion, and understanding toward our residents. Our staff members receive initial training, as well as on going training, on how to provide the proper care.
We value our residents’ well-being, and we create life-enriching opportunities for our seniors. Our goal is for residents to experience daily moments of success. We do this through the Clare Bridge Daily Path, which provides a gentle structure to each day that targets specific needs of those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Residents enjoy a minimum of six programs each day that are designed to maintain a resident’s abilities and encourage the use of their current skills. Programs may include a “Morning Mental Workout” where residents might enjoy brain-stimulating games or discussions, and a Person-Centered Program, which may honor a resident’s past interests and involvements.
Caring for our residents doesn’t begin when they join our community — it happens way before. From answering your questions to giving a personal tour, we are here for you. Give us a call today.
