What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a secure environment, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and help to maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Secure Setting
Our community is built from the ground up for the specific needs of those living with dementia. We offer features like large circular paths designed to lead residents to areas of activity, way-finding cues and spaces decorated like home. With secured entries and exits and an enclosed courtyard and garden, we strive to help keep our residents secure while encouraging a sense of independence to explore. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Our cozy, comfortable single-level community incorporates special features such as easy-to-navigate floor plans and soothing wall colors, so residents feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Our home-like common areas include the fireside living room, bright and cheery ice cream parlor, and community kitchen. With private and semi-private apartment suites that range from 315 sq. ft. to 625 sq. ft., your family member will have the comforts of home in a secure environment. Each pet-friendly residence offers a private bathroom, closet space, plush wall-to-wall carpet, and windows with abundant natural light.
Consistent Care Assignments
Offering a combination of independence and support provides your loved one with the dignity and respect they deserve while also giving them the care they need. You also get peace of mind knowing our team is ready and willing to help them perform daily tasks like dressing and bathing while helping to maintain their health and mental wellness. We strive to provide consistent care assignments so that your family member is cared for by the same associates whenever possible. This helps form a relationship-rich partnership between your loved one and their care provider, which in turn promotes familiarity and regularity.
Our proprietary memory care program provides a gentle structure to each day that targets specific needs of those living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s. The Clare Bridge Daily Path features a morning mental workout with exercises including discussions, brain-stimulating games and reminiscing. It also includes daily physical activity with a variety of exercise opportunities, including group exercises, walking programs and dancing. In addition, residents enjoy daily life skills sessions with individual or group activities that provide a sense of purpose, meaning and belonging.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
We are committed to person-centered partnerships. In our care model, we build relationships with trust, loving concern and a sense of family. Knowing and being present with your loved one gives us a solid foundation to anticipate their needs throughout all stages of the disease and address behavioral expressions that may occur due to dementia symptoms. In addition, our care associates get to know our residents’ histories, routines and preferences. This helps us offer our residents a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live.
