What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
A place that is familiar and comforting—that’s home. Because we specialize in memory care, our cozy single-level community incorporates special features such as wayfinding cues and circular pathways to lead to activity areas. While our common areas are designed for socializing, our private apartments offer privacy and their own quiet place for residents. Filled with natural light, our apartments are a place for your loved one to be surrounded by the comfort of their familiar furnishings, treasured family photos and keepsakes.
A Secure Setting
With monitored entries and exits and enclosed walking areas, our residents can experience a sense of independence as we strive to help them safely explore the outdoor gardening area, courtyard and the rest of their surroundings. Our apartments, common areas, dining area and outdoor spaces are all built dementia-friendly with safety and ease in mind. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Quality Services from Trained Staff
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well taken care of. We provide services to do just that. Our staff handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping while providing support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more. And we don’t just hire good people; we carefully select staff who are kind and compassionate. Then we invest in quality training and education to help keep our staff up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques.
Our Clare Bridge Daily Path approach to Alzheimer’s and dementia care offers a gentle structure of six programs per day, tailored to maintain your loved one’s abilities and encourage the use of their current skills. These include morning mental workouts with brain games and fitness activities such as dancing, walking, and our B-Fit program. A daily music program, pet therapy, music therapy, games and singing are among other Daily Path activities that provide our residents with an important sense of purpose, meaning and belonging.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
If you’re looking for memory care, Brookdale Cary offers you or your loved one a unique environment to thrive. We use a person-centered approach to create feelings of belonging and purpose for your loved one while seeking to preserve their identity and sense of self. We know how difficult it can be to trust someone else to care for your loved one. That’s why we spend time learning about our residents’ past, their likes and dislikes, and what makes them feel loved and cherished throughout an ordinary day.
