What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Surrounded by your favorite things and people who love you – that’s home. Our apartments have plenty of natural window light, a private bathroom, and some even garden views. We’ll help you and your family prepare for the move with a move-in guide and a suggested list of what to bring so that your loved one’s apartment is familiar and comforting. Best of all, we’re pet-friendly because we know it’s not really home without our four-legged friends.
A Secure Setting
A secure environment is an essential part of good memory care. That’s why our building has monitored exits and entrances and includes enclosed outdoor areas so our residents can experience sheltered freedom. Secure community outdoor spaces allow for the preservation of independence and outdoor access while providing purpose with nature paths, gardening, outdoor exercise, sensory experiences, and more. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
Quality Services from Trained Staff
Our attentive staff handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping while providing support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more. We support person-centered partnerships between your loved one and their care partners through a commitment to consistent assignment of the same associates to your loved one whenever possible. Consistent care assignments help provide your loved one with the same care partner on a regular basis to encourage familiarity and relationship-rich care.
The Clare Bridge Daily Path is an evidence-based approach that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day. This routine helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and provides a sense of security and accomplishment. Activities include a morning cognitive workout with discussions, brain games, music and art programs, physical fitness and movement classes like our B-Fit program, walking programs, and dan. This routine helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and provides a sense of security and accomplishment.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
At Brookdale Citrus Heights, our care associates are familiar with our residents’ histories, routines, and preferences to support a person-centered relationship. This helps provide our residents with a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live. Our care programs are tailored to each individual, meaning they can vary significantly among residents. But one thing never changes. We meet your family member right where they are, helping live their best life with independence, dignity, and courage.
