At our community, this isn’t just a job for our staff members — it’s a passion. Every day they strive to excel at providing support and assistance to our residents. Here’s a short description about the three levels of care that we offer:
Our community boasts 21 cottages, the Maples, which are 100 freestanding senior apartment buildings, as well as the Oaks, which is a freestanding assisted living building with a memory care neighborhood. Socialization and activities are a large part of what Brookdale Cushing Park offers its residents, and we provide a wide array of activities daily to meet the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of our residents.
Separate activities are provided for our independent, assisted living and memory care residents. Our programs and activities are specifically designed to meet the individual needs of our residents and engage them in their life long interests as well as new and different challenges and programs. Activities, programs and entertainment take place on our campus as well as outside the community with transportation provided by the Brookdale bus. Activities include luncheon outings, concerts, museums trips and excursions to special attractions in the greater Boston area.
The dining experience at Brookdale Cushing Park matches any restaurant in style and quality. Two kitchens and two formal dining rooms serve our residents three nutritious and elegant meals daily. We also accommodate the individual and special dietary needs of our residents.
In order to better meet the care needs of our residents, we work closely with a world renowned medical community in the greater Boston area. We coordinate the admissions of our residents with local doctors, nurses, hospital and nursing home administrators and social workers in the Metro West area. As professionals in our industry, we pledge to always be an educated and valuable resource to our residents, their families and the community at large.
At Brookdale Cushing Park, there are three distinct care levels — Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Here are some details about what each one will offer you as a new resident of our outstanding community.
For our most mobile and self-sufficient residents, Independent Living allows for a fantastic quality of life. You can trade in all the troublesome chores that come with home maintenance, like lawn care, housekeeping and laundry, and meal preparation. You’ll get to enjoy your time burden-free living life the way you want.
You have access to our dining, laundry, transportation and other excellent services, freeing you to focus on your life. And because you’re surrounded with friends both old and new, and given lots of activity and enrichment options, you’re likely to find a new quality of retirement life that you hadn’t found before.
Some seniors need a little extra assistance with daily activities in order to live a healthy, fulfilled life. Our staff is trained to assist residents with tasks such as bathing/showering, transportation, grooming, dressing and more all in the privacy of their spacious apartment.
With years of experience delivering this type of care, we understand how to combine supportive assistance, to make your life easier, while also respecting your independence. First, we sit down and listen to your needs during a Personal Service Assessment. During the Personal Service Assessment, we will be your partner, understanding your needs, and work with you to create a custom and personal care plan.
Our new Clare Bridge Place Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care floor provides a secure setting in which our Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory care residents can maintain familiar daily routines. Physical and behavioral needs, as well as life history each play integral roles in our understanding of their requirements. Each resident receives an individualized service plan designed to meet their unique needs and to help them feel safe while adding meaning to their day.
Our associates must have compassion and understanding. Accordingly, our staff are carefully selected and trained to care for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The Clare Bridge Daily Path provides a gentle structure to each day that targets specific needs of those with Alzheimer’s and various types and levels of dementia.
