Our community is all on one level for easy access with a variety of cottage-style senior apartments that offer a home-like atmosphere to our residents. We have a range of apartment styles and layouts including studio apartments, one bedrooms, one bedroom deluxes, and companion style apartments. All apartments are cable ready and all apartments have pull cords available in the bedrooms and bathrooms. All of our senior apartments surround an inner courtyard and to top it off, we are a pet friendly community.
We always have fun and exciting activities going on throughout the day. Some activities have included a fashion show, word search, cooking classes, painting classes and ballroom dancing. We frequently go out on the town to art museums, dinner and local concerts. We also take our residents to their physicians once per week and go shopping twice per week.
Brookdale Dartmouth Village offers family-style dining in a warm, intimate environment. Our residents are able to choose from a variety of meal selections and have input into what they would like to see offered through our monthly Food Council Meeting. What makes us different than our competition is that we have the ability to accommodate special diets such as a sodium restricted diet, sugar restricted and low fat diets. We are also able to accommodate special diets prescribed by a health care practitioner.
We know that there are tons of options when it comes to senior living. Wading through them all can be difficult, but we’d love to help. Here are some details about the two levels of care that we offer — Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care.
Our brand of Assisted Living combines rewarding lifestyles and comfortable accommodations with an exceptional blend of service, care and hospitality. With an impressive line of features and amenities, Assisted Living residents enjoy life with all the support they may require.
Carefully selected and trained associates do more than assist with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing and dispensing of medications — they implement custom care plans designed to meet the individual needs of each resident.
It all begins with a Personal Service Assessment. We take the time to listen to our residents so we can establish clinical, dining and program support that works for them in a meaningful way.
No two seniors are alike, which is why Brookdale Assisted Living recognizes our residents’ individual needs and preferences and respond accordingly. So, whether it’s a scented lotion, a unique snack, a favorite recipe or a lifelong interest, we integrate everything we learn to create a truly individualized living experience.
We also provide the kind of help that allows our residents to live life to the fullest. So lawn work, trash hauling and laundry are all out. Group activities, hobby-related communities and off-site cultural experiences are all in!
For those of our community that need more structure in their lives, we use the Clare Bridge concept, which provides care programs and secure environments for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia.
At Brookdale Dartmouth Village we believe no matter where an individual is in life’s journey, each has the right to live in a dignified manner and to enjoy meaningful experiences every day. Highly trained associates deliver on this promise as they provide dementia care services and enable residents to experience daily moments of success.
Deeply rooted in a person-centered approach, the Clare Bridge program focuses on sustaining feelings of belonging and purpose while seeking to preserve a sense of self. The Clare Bridge concept has evolved over a quarter of a century by continually embracing the latest research and innovations in the delivery of quality dementia care. Our teams have cared for thousands of individuals with dementia, as well as for their families.
The Clare Bridge Daily Path offers a gentle daily structure (seven days per week) choreographed with a minimum of six programs per day. All are designed to maintain the resident’s abilities and to encourage the use of their current skills. The Daily Path gives each resident a sense of security that they are “right where they need to be.” Daily Path activities include the following:
