At Brookdale Deer Park, our spacious apartment homes offer balconies, individual climate control and walk-in showers. Featuring convenient restaurant-style dining with flexible seating times, our dining services offer exciting and delicious chef-prepared meals that are pleasing to the palette and enticing to the eye. Seniors won’t have to worry about home maintenance or chores. Our staff takes care of it all. All apartments are licensed for assisted living, allowing seniors to receive additional services if needed, without having to move to another apartment.
Our independent living community offers a number of services and amenities all designed to help seniors maintain their independence, no matter what their age. At Brookdale Deer Park, you’ll experience a genuine sense of community. Our living room is a place where friends gather around the piano, have conversations, or hold meetings. Our transportation takes you to the movies, a ball game, or the races. Excursions to museums, community events, or the theater happen frequently.
Brookdale Deer Park has a general store, a beauty salon and barber shop, and a library for enjoying quiet time with a book. You can also spend time at our nondenominational chapel that includes beautifully restored woodwork and stained glass from the old Fenwick Club, a Cincinnati landmark.
We partner with each resident to create a personalized plan, tailored for their specific needs. Our process is unique to Brookdale and allows us to base service fees on need. We regularly review care plans with our community members to ensure they have the assistance with activities of daily living they need, including assistance with bathing/showing, clothing selection, dressing, grooming and more.
Residents at our assisted living community in Cincinnati also have access to a range of programs and activities, many of which are a direct result of the interests and hobbies of our residents themselves. We recognize that staying active grows in importance as we age. That’s why we encourage those in our community to get involved in whatever interests them.
Maintaining familiar daily routines is important for our Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory care residents. Physical and behavioral needs, as well as life history each play integral roles in creating an individual care plan, which is regularly reviewed by our staff.
Those working in our memory care community are continuously trained to ensure they are providing the most up-to-date treatments and therapies to those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Through The Clare Bridge Daily Path structure, we help residents establish a routine that encourages cognitive processes, meaning and purpose.
Since we provide three levels of care — Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care — Brookdale Deer Park has the resources in place to adapt to your changing needs. With each level of care, our staff is there for you, in whatever way you need. Our aim is to keep you healthy, safe and enjoying as much independence as possible.
When you live alone or with a partner, there are so many chores that you have to be in charge of. From cooking regularly to doing the laundry to tending to the yard, all of these tasks can just be burdensome. Plus, they take up time you could be doing other things — spending time with friends and family, enjoying old hobbies or discovering new ones, and playing fun games.
At Brookdale Deer Park, we can take care of these chores for you. No more having to drive to the grocery store and plan out meals. Instead, you’ll be able to sit down at our fine dining room and be served delicious meals three times a day. The only time you’ll need to cook is when you want to — for fun, not necessity. We’ll take care of the chores you don’t want to so you can enjoy your independence fully.
Sometimes you may need a little extra assistance with daily tasks, such as bathing, getting dressed or getting to and from places. But the last thing you want is for a community to come in and control your world — ordering you around and dictating what you can and can’t do. Not the case with Brookdale Deer Park.
We work with you, as a partner. Our aim is to provide you with the most amount of independence possible to live a safe and healthy lifestyle. We will sit down with you during a personal service assessment and listen to you. We don’t push a one-size-fits-all Assisted Living care plan on you. Instead, we will work together to create a custom and personal plan that you are comfortable with.
We understand the importance of maintaining familiar daily routines for Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory care seniors. And we work to incorporate this into our Memory Care. Our dining program features a dementia-friendly menu that serves foods that are familiar to residents. We also have constant seating arraignments for seniors in the dining room.
Through our Memory Care, we provide a gentle structure to each day that features a minimum of six programs, each of which are designed to maintain a senior’s abilities and encourage the use of their current skills. This structure gives residents a sense of security and familiarity that gives them the confidence to tackle each day.
We have the services and programs you want, the community to make your stay with us feel like home, and the specialized, considerate care you deserve. Call us or submit the online form today to schedule a tour and see for yourself.
