Upon entering our community, you are welcomed into a warm and inviting area and greeted by our friendly staff. Our small family-like setting makes it the perfect place to call home. At Brookdale Dover, our friendly staff is here to provide a helping hand, but only when you need it. Residents get to decide how they’d like to spend their free time, and they have the opportunity to offer suggestions through the activity and food council meetings held monthly, which is a forum to discuss topics such as activity options and food selection. From live entertainment, a trip to the beach, or simply sitting under the shade of a tree, we want to make you feel at home and a member of our family.
We offer a wide range of activities each month, including community outings to the agricultural museum, Biggs Museum, Silver Lake, country trips to Byler’s General Store for ice cream, and blueberry picking at Fifer’s Orchard just to name a few. In addition to our outings and daily resident social activities, Brookdale Dover hosts several family and friend events throughout the year. Some of our featured events include the annual Easter egg hunt, a tasty Mother’s Day brunch, a popular Luau and Crab Feast, and a festive Christmas celebration.
Every meal is prepared to be enjoyable, nutritious, and delicious. All meals are served restaurant-style in our main dining room. There are always options, and we can assist with special diets such as diabetic, low sodium, and allergies.
Brookdale Dover offers multiple care levels — Assisted Living and Memory Care (Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care). This is a huge benefit to residents because we are able to continue caring for them, even if their needs change over the years.
