Quality care is a major aspect of Brookdale Granger, and our staff goes the extra mile to give you the right amount of support. Our community offers two categories of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care (or Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care).
Our approach to Assisted Living is to provide the daily assistance you need, perhaps with performing tasks such as bathing or administering medicine, while also respecting your independence. For Memory Care, we offer a state-of-the-art program, designed by experts in the field, that provides optimum opportunities for loved ones to maintain their mental functions.
Our staff is the key ingredient to our quality of care. We select individuals who are compassionate and committed to our residents, and who have the skill and experience to deliver care properly. We have ongoing dementia care training so that our Memory Care staff can stay abreast of the latest techniques and research.
We are a one-story building that features beautiful views of the surrounding countryside as well as a luxurious and finely decorated interior. We offer studio, private suite, companion suite, and one-bedroom apartment options. Each apartment is individually climate controlled with bay windows that showcase the wonderful rural setting around our community.
Brookdale Granger has a variety of activities scheduled for those that enjoy group settings and for those that prefer quiet, individual time. Our activity program is headed by the life enrichment director and offers daily activity options.
From taking an exercise class to relaxing in the flower garden to in-house dance lessons, Brookdale Granger remains an active community. Our bus provides a continuous connection between seniors and our local community as we drive to various attractions. Offsite entertainment may include a visit to the South Bend Chocolate Factory, the Studebaker Museum or the University of Notre Dame.
Dining is a huge part of the senior living experience, and we strive to create an experience that’s equivalent to a fine restaurant. Residents enjoy their meals in the main dining room which features wall-to-wall windows in a country setting. We offer three dietitian-prescribed meals a day with a snack offered in between.
Our community at Brookdale Granger offers two different kinds of care — Assisted Living and Memory Care. We approach each type of care with professionalism, compassion and years of experience.
You are an individual, and we believe your care plan should reflect that. Assisted Living Care shouldn’t come in a one-size-fits-all package. Our focus at Brookdale Granger is to give you a personalized care plan that reflects your specific needs.
Our community can support residents with daily living activities, such as housekeeping services, transportation and recreational activities. Trained caregivers provide services such as help with medication, bathing and dressing and coordinating services with outside providers.
We customize our staff support, so you can live your life the way you want with the right care at the right time, delivered by the right people. We first start with a personal service assessment. During which we take the time to understand your needs and then establish clinical, dining and program support based on that information. We view our residents as partners, and we look forward to developing relationships with them to create a warm and friendly community experience.
For many years, our community has been delivering successful, safe and secure care to our residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. Utilizing the expertly designed Clare Bridge program, we’ve been successful at having a person-centered approach to Memory Care.
We believe no matter where an individual is in life’s journey, each has the right to live in a dignified manner and to enjoy meaningful experiences every day. To encourage and enable residents to experience daily moments of success, we have a few programs that have gotten highly positive feedback from our residents and their loved ones.
The Clare Bridge Daily Path offers a gentle daily structure that provides a minimum of six programs per day. Programs can range from a Morning Mental Workout, where residents can engage in discussions and brain-stimulating games, to a Daily Physical Activity like walking or dancing. All are designed to maintain the resident’s abilities and to encourage the use of their current skills.
The unique Clare Bridge Dining program sustains the resident’s opportunity to enjoy and master the dining experience. Dementia-friendly menus are developed that help prevent weight-loss and include foods that are familiar to residents and easy to manage. Our staff evaluates each resident individually to determine the level of support needed during the dining experience and encourage the use of utensils as long as possible. These are just some of the features of the dining program.
We aim to always treat our residents with compassion, understanding and respect. But don’t take our word for it! We’d love for you to come visit our community and see what we can provide you. Give us a call today.
