What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You

Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.

Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:

A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Your loved one will feel right at home with our private apartments that have plenty of natural window light and storage. And you can make your loved one’s apartment familiar and comfortable with their personal belongings and favorite furniture. On the wall outside of each apartment is a shadow box that creates a small “biography” for each resident and serves as a tool for our care team to get to know each resident.

A Secure Setting
Memory care residents thrive in an environment that feels comfortable and familiar, so Brookdale Kenosha uses industry-leading techniques like color-coding, circular pathways and other wayfinding cues to help our residents feel secure. With monitored entries and exits and a large enclosed patio, we will strive to help your loved one will remain safe while having a sense of freedom and independence. . You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

Quality Services from Trained Staff
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well taken care of. We provide services to do just that. Our staff handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping while providing support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more. And we don’t just hire good people; we invest in quality training and education to help keep our staff up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques.

Enriching Activities
Because it’s also important for each resident to feel like they fit in, we create peer groups with residents that share similar skills and abilities. Our Clare Bridge Daily Path provides our residents with a gentle structure of six programs per day,  and activities are tailored to maintain our residents' abilities and encourage the use of their current skills. These include morning workouts with brain games and discussions and fitness activities such as dancing, walking, and our B-Fit program fitness program.

Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

To support a person-centered relationship, we get to know our residents’ histories, routines and preferences. We do this to provide our residents with a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live. At Brookdale Kenosha, our care programs are tailored to each individual, meaning they can vary significantly among residents. But one thing never changes. We meet your family member right where they are, helping live their best life with independence, dignity, and courage.
