What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Secure Setting
Here, you’ll have peace of mind knowing we have keypad entry and trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency. Your loved one can enjoy all the peaceful settings and home-like environments that feel like places they may have loved throughout their life. Our interiors spaces are scaled and decorated to resemble a private home for familiarity and comfort. Our enclosed courtyard gives your family member sheltered freedom as we strive to help keep them safe while exploring their surroundings.
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
A place that is familiar and comforting—that’s home. Our purpose-built community incorporates special features, such as easy-to-navigate floor plans, soothing wall colors, large circular paths designed to lead residents to areas of activity and way-finding cues so they feel safe and not overwhelmed. Designed to feel and function like a home, each of our private residences includes cozy wall-to-wall carpet, natural light and a private bathroom so your family member can enjoy as much independence and freedom as possible. Each apartment also has an emergency response system.
Consistent Care Assignments
One of the greatest things about Brookdale Leawood State Line is the sense of camaraderie and loyalty between residents and staff members. We assign the same care partners to your loved one whenever possible to help build out a relationship-rich partnership between your family member and their care provider. Our care team is available to provide support and guidance for your loved one's needs as they transition to life here on campus. Our staff also handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping. Best of all, we help our care team stay up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques with recurring training.
Just because your family member has transitioned into a memory care community doesn’t mean they should settle for a dull and monotonous life. Just like any other senior, they deserve to experience a rich and meaningful existence, complete with quality care and programs that promote joy and holistic wellness. One of our programs is our Clare Bridge Daily Path, evidence-based practice that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs. This established routine helps your loved one maintain his or her abilities and offers a sense of security and accomplishment.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
Surrounded by a dedicated care team, your loved one will experience a truly rich and full life here at Brookdale Leawood State Line. With gentle guidance throughout the day, they will enjoy personalized care from people who take the time to get to know them, learning their family history, personal preferences, likes and dislikes. With our custom programs for early, middle and late stages of Alzheimer's and other dementia, your loved one will not only be in good hands, but they will also have the opportunity to engage in meaningful relationships with a sense of belonging and connection.
