Our two-story building offers 80 senior apartments, with a total of three different styles available: studios, alcoves and one bedroom units. All of our residences are very spacious and offer a kitchenette with a full refrigerator, private bath, wall-to-wall carpeting and individual temperature control.
They also have large windows that provide nice neighborhood views. Small pets are always welcome to join our family.
A large lobby area greets visitors, guests and staff, with a comfortable sitting area and entrance into our lovely dining room. The first floor features a library with fireplace, a television room, activities room, beauty shop and chapel. We take pride in the appearance of our retirement community and are regularly upgrading and redecorating.
Outside, residents can enjoy our spacious patio area, which surrounds the front of our building and offers cushioned chairs and benches for relaxation and conversation. In our backyard, we have a garden where residents grow a variety of vegetables and flowers.
With an active group of residents, we are diligent about planning a variety of ongoing activities and events. The Fit and Stretch exercise classes are loved by seniors and held six days a week, along with all kinds of games, from cards to bingo, as well as arts and crafts.
Every week, we host live entertainment from the Permian Basin Pickers to the Cowboy Singers and have movie nights with pizza parties regularly.
Once a month, we have Happy Hour and joint birthday parties. Sunday morning church services are provided by the First Baptist Church and Tuesday morning bible studies are led by the Church of Christ.
In addition, we typically have volunteers from Community Senior Services here on a daily basis. They run errands for our residents, take them to the beauty salon or store and lead our exercise program. Also, children from a local elementary school visit here once a month.
Brookdale’s substantial investments in our culinary program and staffing, allow us to provide mealtime experiences that set our communities apart from the competition. Three restaurant-style meals are prepared for our residents each day and served in the group dining room area, and snacks such as fruit, cookies and cinnamon rolls are always available.
We have created one of the industry’s leading dining services, fulfilling our residents while meeting dietary requirements. From our culinary training program for community chefs, to our select seasonings and bakery programs, we continue to satisfy the preferences and nutritional needs of residents with delicious dining choices.
Menus are designed specifically for seniors by an experienced and knowledgable dietician and we are able to accommodate special diets and always have a selection of entrees available.
Providing our residents and guests with thoughtfully crafted, nutritionally well-balanced dishes is of the utmost importance to us. Our passion for great food and service is evident in menus developed by the Culinary Arts Institute of Brookdale, making certain we provide our residents a first-rate dining experience each and every day.
As the population ages, more people are discovering Assisted Living and the benefits and peace of mind we offer. Assisted Living is for those who need some help in their daily lives but don’t require the medical care provided by a hospital.
Brookdale Midland provides a comfortable home and services, when it is no longer safe or practical for an older adult to live alone.
Our community is a long-term senior care option, offering personal care and support for services such as meals, medication management, bathing and dressing. Trained caregivers help with daily living activities and amenities such as housekeeping and linen services, transportation and recreational activities.
We provide care that balances independence with assistance and delivers service with compassion, understanding and respect. The comfortable accommodations and impressive line of features and amenities, allow each resident to enjoy their life with the confidence of knowing we are here to fully support them.
We are able to offer our residents and their families a wide range of options. The Midland Memorial Hospital and Senior Care Center are minutes away and we have a home health agency office here in our building. Residents are welcome to use their services, but it’s always their choice.
No matter which agency residents choose, we can work closely with their physicians and coordinate making appointments for them.
Services are provided here in the comfort of our community, usually in the resident’s apartment or in a common area.
We often bring in healthcare providers to address topics of interest to our seniors and they sometimes present new materials such as vision aids and hearing equipment, special footwear available for diabetics or information on Medicare coverage and benefits.
All of Brookdale’s employees are extremely caring and dedicated to our residents. They are considered family and are treated just like we would want our own parents or grandparents to be treated.
In addition, we train our caregivers to be well-rounded and flexible, enabling them to step in and take over tasks handled by another employee to ensure that our residents’ needs are always met.
The care and service we provide are our number one priority and it shows in everything we do, whether it’s visiting a resident in the hospital or taking the time to sit down and talk to a resident who may be feeling down.
We work closely with the local Alzheimer’s Association and sponsor a monthly support group for those of our family members who have loved ones with mild memory impairments. The support group is also open to anyone from the general public who may be struggling with caring for a loved one.
We also partner closely with other local health-related organizations. Brookdale recognizes the importance for you to remain vital in the community where you live and supports every effort to be a good neighbor.
