Brookdale Orland Park has many features that make our community an ideal retirement destination for our residents. Our three story building is surrounded with beautiful landscaping and outdoor pathways, providing opportunities to go on walks and enjoy the outdoors. We have several sunporch areas where seniors can kick up their feet, relax and socialize with other guests.
Our residents enjoy frequent visits to Centennial Park, Forest Preserves, and many golf courses including Silver Lake Golf Course and Palos Country Club, The Nature Conservancy, Turtle Head Lake, as well as day spas, yoga, and a local library.
Our staff takes pride in their work and are very patient and compassionate about senior care. Residents come first and the staff gives them choices so that they can stay independent for as long as possible. Respect and dignity is shown to each individual that walks in the door.
Our programs and events are specifically designed for seniors and take into account residents’ personal interests. Our residents rave about our planned activities, which often include bocce ball tournaments, wheel of fortune, the quilt club, painting lessons, bingo, and so much more.
In addition to our daily activities, we like to have special celebrations perhaps for a holiday or birthday, or for no reason at all. Our aim is to get residents together and having fun. For example, we have a yearly Mardi Gras party, a luau in the summer, and a craft show in the fall that features crafts by local artisans and our own residents.
Brookdale Orland Park provides fine dining for all of our residents. Our tables are set for each meal with china and glassware. We use beautiful linen table cloths and napkins with fresh flowers as centerpieces each week. We have a special couples dinner quarterly for couples that reside at the community and for the spouses of residents that live off-site. A private dining room is also available and can be reserved for intimate dinners with family members.
At Brookdale Orland Park, we can provide you with two specialized forms of care: assisted living and memory care. Both are designed to cater to the individual, with customized care plans that can fit your personal situation.
Sometimes you may need extra support with daily tasks. At Brookdale Orland Park, we offer assisted living care so you can receive the right kind of assistance — when you need it.
In order to understand your personal needs, we’ll first do a service assessment. During the assessment, we take time to listen to you and your care needs. Based on that, we will establish clinical, dining and programs that work specifically for you.
Through years of experience serving seniors, we have developed a process that allows us to customize personal care plans for our assisted living residents. Your customized care plan means you only pay for the services you need and want, giving you the flexibility to change your plan.
Our community is pleased to provide Clare Bridge Place programs and a secured environment for those who have Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia.
Clare Bridge programs have evolved over time with more than 25 years of continually embracing the latest research and innovations in the delivery of quality dementia care. The program is built on four key components:
The Clare Bridge Daily Path provides a gentle structure that helps maintain resident abilities and pursuit of interests. The Daily Path gives each resident a sense of security that they are right where they need to be.
The Clare Bridge Dining Program provides choice dining experiences that sustain the resident’s opportunity to enjoy each meal. Dementia friendly menus, individualized dining assistance and the supportive dining environment encourage personal health, familiarity and socialization.
The Clare Bridge Training Program ensures that associates are confident in their techniques, approaches and care of those with dementia.
The Clare Bridge Behavioral Problem Solving Program empowers associates to identify the resident’s unmet needs and to be a part of a solution for the resident.
We understand the importance of maintaining familiar daily routines for Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory care seniors, and we work to incorporate all of this into our memory care.
