We enjoy the pallet of changing colors and the beauty of all four seasons. The area has much to offer: fascinating museums, award-winning wineries, pristine lakes and waterways, seasonal recreational areas, cultural and performing arts centers; all within a few minutes of our community. We have a neighborhood ice cream stand that our residents frequent with family and friends on hot summer days.
For residents that need a little more assistance, our staff is trained to help seniors with the daily tasks they need, including getting dressed, grooming, bathing, and medication management. But our goal is to allow you as much independence as possible to live a safe and healthy lifestyle. We offer a unique approach to Assistive Living because we can create a custom care plan to fit your particular needs, so you are only paying for the services that you want.
We are fortunate to be able to offer three types of senior apartments here: studio, private or companion studio, and private or companion suite. Every apartment has its own bathroom complete with walk-in shower and emergency call bell system. Each room has its own individual climate control.
Our single level retirement community makes it more convenient for our residents and families to move around without the worries of stairways or elevators. We have two large dining rooms. One of our dining rooms has double doors that lead out to our landscaped grounds, giving us easy access for large parties and family picnics. Our beautifully groomed grounds and two artfully appointed courtyards are accessible in warmer seasons. We offer daily housekeeping services, daily bed making, personal laundry service, scheduled transportation to community outings, and many other excellent services.
The scenic Finger Lakes region provides a picturesque back drop for many of our outdoor activities, which may include grape-picking, lunching at area wineries, excursions to Sprague’s Maple Farm, fishing at Ratchford Pond, and a rodeo in Lawrenceville. We embrace our resident’s wealth of lifetime knowledge and experiences by encouraging them to lead discussion groups like bible study group, veteran’s issues, book review club, and craft corner.
We have so many things happening at our community it’s nearly impossible to be bored. Weekly we have our ice cream social, happy hour, Friday luncheons off site, Monday shopping excursions, trivia, craft corner, church services, exercise programs, Bingo, movie nights, croquet in the courtyard, and many others! We love special occasions and holidays, and we try to make that time extra special for our residents. Our residents may enjoy Christmas caroling by the fireplace, a Superbowl party, Kentucky Derby dance, pumpkin painting, and our holiday cookouts!
Our dining services program serves three delicious, nutritious and eye-appealing meals every morning, noon, and evening. Typical lunch and dinner meals consist of an appetizer, a choice of two entrees, vegetables, garnish, and dessert, all served restaurant-style in our two formal Victorian-furnished dining rooms. We have special dinners for holidays with creatively decorated tables, both inside and outside.
Assistive living means we provide help for those who need it while respecting our residents’ personal freedom. As a specialized Assistive Living care community, here’s what our special brand of care looks like.
If you’re just starting your journey with assistive living, you may only need a little assistance with your day-to-day life. At Brookdale Painted Post, we believe in enabling you, and empowering you to provide your own care. We’ll just step in to help when you need it most. You’ll receive the right kind of assistance — and not more than you need.
Senior care isn’t a one-size-fits-all proposition, and the community you pick for your care shouldn’t be either. When you choose us, the first thing we’ll do is a service assessment. This is where we get to know you — how we can best help, and where you’d benefit from some freedom. We’ll listen to you and your care needs.
Then, we’ll establish clinical, dining and activity programs that work specifically for you. This makes sure you get just the help you need, but not more than you want.
But that’s not all — you’ll also receive regular check-ins where we update your whole care plan, starting from the ground up to figure out where are you now, where we want to go together, and how to get there.
Best of all, your care plan also determines your payment plan. Through years of experience serving seniors, we’ve developed a process that lets us customize personal care plans for our assistive living residents, basing your payment on the specific care you need. That means you only pay for the services you need and want right now.
If you’re ready to put the uncertainty behind you and take the first step toward the safety and convenience that you’ll find with assistive living, we can help you today.
We invite you to come experience our revolutionary approach to assistive living. Give us a call to schedule a tour today.
