When you stay at our community, you’ll enjoy top-notch care from a staff of kind and caring professionals. We offer two levels of care, depending on your needs: assisted living and Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
Our community has 120 senior apartments that come in a wide range of styles, to cater to each individual’s needs. Our residents have a choice of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Each room has a kitchenette, private bathroom, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, wall to wall carpeting and a 24 hour emergency response system. Our private bathrooms are handicap accessible and equipped for seniors with grab bars in place.
We have many common areas for our residents to enjoy. Whether dining with friends in the dining room, relaxing with a good book in the library or kicking back in the TV room, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy yourself and meet others at the community.
Three home-cooked meals are served to our residents each day. Each meal provides a salad or soup to start, entree and dessert. Meals are served in a restaurant style atmosphere so that residents can enjoy the company of others at their table.

Brookdale Paramus offers multiple care levels — assisted living and memory care. This is a huge benefit to residents because we are able to continue caring for them, even if their needs change over the years.
So when you settle into our community, you won’t have to pick up and move if your situation changes in the future. Brookdale Paramus can remain your home filled with your dear friends and a staff that truly cares about you.
Sometimes you may need a little extra support during the day, perhaps for bathing, taking medication or getting dressed. But even with that little bit of support, you still want to maintain a level of independence. That’s where our staff can provide the right balance of care.
Our community provides care that combines independence with assistance and delivers service with compassion, understanding and respect. It’s all tailored to fit you and your needs. We work with each of our residents, understanding their needs first and then crafting together a plan that fits their situation. You only pay for the services that you need.
We also monitor your situation and needs during your stay, and can easily adjust plans at any time. But our goal is to provide you with an individualized experience, and make you feel like you have a partner with us. Our residents enjoy life with the confidence of knowing we are here for them, in whatever way they need.
For our memory care, we strive to help maintain residents’ abilities and encourage their current skills. We believe that each individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and you’ll see that our staff strives to do that every day.
From the type of dining we offer to the activities available, we work to engage residents’ mental functions, encourage them to participate in purposeful activities, and involve them in many physical programs. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our seniors to feel a sense of meaning every day.
Our concept has embraced the latest research and innovations in the delivery of quality dementia care. Our teams have cared for thousands of individuals with dementia, as well as for their families. Here are a couple features of our memory care program:
- Clare Bridge Training Program: Providing excellent dementia care is a complex task that requires ongoing guidance and teaching for our associates. All associates receive initial and on-going training in proper techniques, approach and care of persons with dementia.
- Behavioral Problem-Solving Program: This established set of protocols and techniques enables associates to intervene when challenging behaviors resulting from dementia arise. The whole-community philosophy is the key that empowers all associates to identify the resident’s unmet needs and to be a part of a solution.
