What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a secure environment, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and help to maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Secure Setting
We strive to put safety first. Built specifically for residents living with dementia who need added care and attention, our community includes features to help our residents feel a sense of independence and freedom. With keypad entries, monitored exits and an enclosed courtyard and garden, we strive to help residents stay safe while having the freedom and independence to explore. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Memory care residents thrive in an environment that feels comfortable and familiar, so our community, located in an upscale residential neighborhood, features peaceful surroundings and a cozy setting to re-create the kind of home life they’ve always enjoyed. Our easy-to-navigate floor plans and extra details, such as soothing wall colors, provide all the comforts of home. The centerpiece of our community is Town Square, an indoor charming, picturesque re-creation of the center of a small town. And our pet-friendly apartments include large windows to let in abundant natural light and private baths.
Consistent Care Assignments
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well known. That's why we assign the same care partners to your loved one whenever possible to encourage familiarity and relationship-rich care. Our attentive staff handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping while providing support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more. We can also help you coordinate care with outside healthcare providers. And we don’t just hire great people; we invest in quality training and education to help keep our staff up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques.
Our evidence-based approach offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day, a routine that helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and offers a sense of security and accomplishment. More simply, we meet your loved one where they are. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, we help them flourish in activities such as gardening, kitchen work and other projects that provide the opportunity to use meaningful life skills and talents — even with advanced expressions of the disease.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
Our staff is available to help provide just the right kind of care just when your loved one needs it. We use a person-centered approach to create feelings of belonging and purpose for your family member while seeking to preserve their identity and sense of self. We know how difficult it can be to trust someone else to care for your loved one. That’s why we spend time learning about our residents’ past, their likes and dislikes, and what makes them feel loved and cherished throughout an ordinary day. This allows our team to keep your family member engaged throughout the progression of the disease.
