We offer our residents two levels of care at Brookdale Rocky Hill — assisted living and Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
Our dedicated and caring staff provide exceptional care and keep our residents happy and engaged. Part of the reason our staff is so trustworthy and caring is that they are passionate about what they do, and it shows in the way they take pride in their jobs and how they care for each resident with dignity, respect and humor.
Our warm and inviting community offers 79 apartments, in a variety of styles, situated across two floors. We have spacious common areas, including a living room with a baby grand piano, a pub with billiards, a large movie lounge with theater seating, a dining room with cathedral ceilings and a piano, and an intimate private dining room.
We also have an activity suite with a full kitchen, a beauty salon and a library/Internet café. Our community boasts two beautiful porch areas for relaxing or visiting with friends, as well as a lovely patio and waterfall.
We offer a fabulous dining experience here at Brookdale Rocky Hill. Our chefs serve fresh, local seasonal produce, and our dining staff is friendly and accommodating. We have a fine dining menu which includes a variety of meals including beef, chicken, pork and veal dishes, as well as various types of fish.
Brookdale Rocky Hill is an active and vibrant community. We have a daily schedule of activities including clubs (Book, Gardening and Cards), arts and crafts, jewelry making, daily exercise classes, weekly Happy Hour with live music and dancing, as well as weekly excursions to shopping areas, vineyards, beaches as well as local farms and orchards for seasonal fruit picking. We also have monthly themed parties with music, holiday parties and special entertainment.

At Brookdale Rocky Hill, our residents become like family, and the way we care for our seniors is a reflection of that. Our staff takes a person-centered approach to delivering care, and we are deeply committed to ensuring that each of our memory care residents are treated in a dignified manner and enjoy meaningful experiences every day. We care for residents with different forms of dementia, and our goal is to help our residents experience daily moments of success.
We implement a care program based on the Clare Bridge Concept. This state-of-the-art program, with years of success, combines the latest research, innovations, and proven experience, to deliver quality dementia care.
We offer a gentle daily structure (seven days per week) for residents where they get to enjoy programs, at least six per day, that are designed to maintain the resident’s abilities and to encourage the use of their current skills. For example, one of our residents may enjoy an exciting discussion or brain-stimulating game as part of the “Morning Mental Workout.” Or a resident may take part in a group exercise or fun dancing activity as part of the “Daily Physical Activity.”
We also offer a specific dining program that helps residents enjoy and master the dining experience. Dementia-friendly menus are developed that help prevent weight-loss and include foods that are familiar to residents and easy to manage. Also, our staff will evaluate each resident individually and determine the level of support needed during the dining experience. But our goal is to encourage the use of utensils as long as possible.
