What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You

Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a secure environment, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and help to maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.

Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:

A Secure Setting
From the layout of the community to the routines in the dining room, our community is purposefully designed to help provide your family member with a sense of security. But that doesn’t mean they have to give up all independence. With secured entries and exits and an enclosed courtyard and garden, we strive to help keep them secure while encouraging freedom of movement. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
A place that is familiar and comforting—that’s home. Our purpose-built community incorporates special features, such as easy-to-navigate floor plans, soothing wall colors, and way-finding cues, so residents feel comfortable and secure. And you can choose between a private apartment or a companion suite. Both options are designed with memory care in mind, and each feels and functions like a home with plenty of natural window light and storage.

Consistent Care Assignments
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well known. That’s why we carefully select kind and compassionate care associates to trust with our family of residents. And it’s also why we strive to provide consistent care assignments so that your loved one is cared for by the same Brookdale associates whenever possible. Not only will our team take on chores like housekeeping, they will also provide support throughout the day with medication reminders, dressing, bathing and more.

Enriching Activities
Our care team meets each senior where they are and gently guides them through purposeful daily activities. We also offer reminders and encouragement that inspire confidence and lead to daily moments of success. This established routine helps your loved one maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and offers a sense of security and accomplishment. Activities include a morning cognitive workout with discussions, music programs, brain games and physical fitness and movement classes.

Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

We build relationships with trust, loving concern and a sense of family. To support person-centered care at all stages of the disease, our care associates know our residents’ histories, routines and preferences. This helps build bonds and provides your family member with a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live. Also, this allows our care associates to focus on preventative, behavioral problem-solving by anticipating a resident’s unmet needs.
