What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You

Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.

Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:

A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Surrounded by your favorite things and people who care – that’s home. Our easy-to-navigate floor plans and extra details, such as soothing wall colors, provide all the comforts of home. If you decide Brookdale Union Hills is the place for your family member, your next step is to choose an apartment floor plan. You have several options, but rest easy knowing there are no right or wrong answers. Each residence is pet-friendly and comes with plush wall-to-wall carpet, natural light, and ample closet space.

A Secure Setting
A secure environment is an essential part of good memory care. That’s why our building is protected by a 24-hour security system and includes enclosed outdoor areas so our residents can feel a sense of independence as we strive to help them safely explore the outdoor gardening area, courtyard and the rest of their surroundings. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

Quality Services from Trained Staff
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well taken care of. We provide services to do just that. Our attentive staff handles chores such as laundry and housekeeping while providing support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more. We carefully select our staff, and we invest in quality training and education to help keep our care team up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques.

Enriching Activities
The Clare Bridge Daily Path is an evidence-based approach that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day. This routine helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and provides a sense of security and accomplishment. Activities include a morning cognitive workout with discussions, brain games, music and art programs, physical fitness and movement classes like our B-Fit program, walking programs, and dancing.

Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

At Brookdale Union Hills, our care associates are familiar with our residents’ histories, routines, and preferences to support a person-centered relationship. This helps provide our residents with a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live. Our care programs are tailored to each individual, meaning they can vary significantly among residents. But one thing never changes. We meet your family member right where they are, helping live their best life with independence, dignity, and courage.
