What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You
Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a secure environment, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and help to maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.
Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:
A Secure Setting
Safety, of course, comes first. You’ll have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency. Built specifically for residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, our building has secured exits and features enclosed outdoor areas so our residents can enjoy a sense of independence as we help them explore the gardening area, courtyard and the rest of their surroundings in a secured environment.
A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Surrounded by your favorite things and people who care about you – that’s home. Our easy-to-navigate floor plans and extra details, such as soothing wall colors, provide the comforts of home, so residents can feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. Our studio apartments have plenty of natural window light and a private bathroom, and some even have a garden view. We can also help your family make your loved one’s apartment familiar and comfortable with a move-in guide and a suggested list of what to bring.
Consistent Care Assignments
Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well known. That’s why we strive to provide consistent care assignments so that your loved one is cared for by the same Brookdale associates whenever possible. This helps build out a relationship-rich partnership between a resident and their care provider, which in turn promotes familiarity and regularity. Our attentive staff provides support throughout the day, whether during meals, taking medication, bathing or more.
The Clare Bridge Daily Path is an evidence-based approach that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day. This routine helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourages the use of their current skills and provides a sense of security and accomplishment. Activities include a morning cognitive workout with discussions, brain games, music and art programs, physical fitness and movement classes like our B-Fit program, walking programs, and dancing.
Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
Our care associates are familiar with our residents’ histories, routines, and preferences to support a person-centered relationship. This helps to provide your loved one with a sense of stability and comfort that they are well-known where they live. And our care programs are tailored to each individual's unique needs of early, middle, or late stages of Alzheimer's and other dementia, meaning care can vary significantly among residents. But one thing never changes. We meet your family member right where they are, helping live their best life with independence, dignity, and courage.
