What Our Memory Care Community Can Offer You

Just because someone you love is experiencing memory loss, it doesn't mean that they should have to sacrifice their quality of life. Our residents spend their days in a safe place, surrounded by familiar people who encourage them to enjoy life, experience feelings of belonging and purpose, and maintain their current skills through our daily path of engagement.

Here are just a few of the ways we help the seniors in our memory care programs make the most of this season of their lives:

A Secure Setting
Safety, of course, comes first. Built specifically for residents who have Alzheimer’s or dementia, our building is protected by a 24-hour security system and enclosed walking areas so your loved one can feel a sense of independence and purpose as they safely explore the outdoor gardening area, courtyard and the rest of their surroundings. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.

A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Memory care residents thrive in a comforting and familiar environment, so our community features cozy spaces to re-create the kind of home life they’ve always enjoyed. Our easy-to-navigate floor plans and extra details, such as soothing wall colors, provide all the comforts of home, so residents feel safe and not overwhelmed. Our pet-friendly apartments have large windows with plenty of natural light and private bathrooms, too. And we help families make our residents’ apartments familiar and comfortable with suggestions for what to bring on move-in day.

Consistent Care Assignments
We don’t just hire good people; we invest in quality training and education to help keep our staff up-to-date on the latest dementia care techniques. Your loved one deserves to experience a full life in a place where they are well known. That’s why we strive to provide consistent care assignments so that your loved one is cared for by the same care partners whenever possible. This helps build out a relationship-rich partnership between a resident and their care provider, which in turn promotes familiarity and regularity.

Enriching Activities
The Clare Bridge Daily Path is an evidence-based practice that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day. This routine helps our residents maintain their abilities and provides a sense of security and accomplishment. Each resident, working in small cluster groups, is surrounded by others with the same cognitive abilities to give them a feeling of fitting in. And our Clare Bridge environments feature areas of the community set up for safe engagement in household tasks like gardening, kitchen work, and handyman work.

Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

Our memory care program is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach focused on creating feelings of belonging and purpose for your loved one while seeking to preserve their identity and sense of self. We know how difficult it can be to trust someone else to care for your loved one. That’s why we spend time learning about our residents’ past, their likes and dislikes, and what makes them feel loved and cherished throughout an ordinary day. This relationship-rich care helps us to anticipate unmet needs and lessen behavioral symptoms, regardless of the level of dementia.
