Brookdale West Bay offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care services for seniors in the Warwick area. Our community remains as inviting today as it did when we first opened our doors more than a generation ago. We pride ourselves on the longevity and consistency of our staff, who work tirelessly to provide quality and personalized care to our residents.
Our community is centrally located in the very heart of Rhode Island. Due to our close proximity to major highways, our residents are able to travel about the state with ease. Although, you won’t have to travel far to find wonderful entertainment options, like Warwick City Park.
Our community features a wonderful variety of features, amenities and services to make your stay incredibly comfortable. As a resident you’ll enjoy access to a private dining room, card room, arts/crafts room, library, spacious common areas, whirlpool spa and patio. You’ll also have the option to select from a wide range of spacious apartment styles, each one containing pond views, balconies, individual climate control, kitchens, patios, emergency call systems and step-in showers.
Since you won’t have to worry about home maintenance or chores, you’ll have plenty of time to pursue your interests, both old and new. We have an excellent program that designs activities and outings that are geared toward seniors and that factors in our residents’ interests, hobbies, and passions. Popular activities include book club, mind aerobics, “What’s New,” dining out, Wii programs, Forever Fit, leadership forum and welcome programs for new residents.
We want to make dining a pleasurable experience each time you sit down at the table. From delicious food to attentive staff to the right atmosphere, we have everything you need for an enjoyable dining experience. For our Memory Care residents, we have a special dining program that aims to help residents enjoy and master the dining experience. One feature of the program is a “Dementia-friendly Menu” that offers menu items that are easy to eat and familiar to seniors.
Our community at Brookdale West Bay offers three different kinds of care — Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. We approach each type of care with professionalism, compassion and years of experience.
During your time with us, you may want to meet new people, explore different interests and relax. Our community provides an Independent Living experience that allows you to live a relatively independent life without being burdened with daily chores.
As a resident you will enjoy the convenience of restaurant-style dining, housekeeping, laundry and transportation services in a desirable location near popular attractions with shopping and restaurants close to campus.
Hospitality and wellness are also key components to the Independent Living experience. Our residents can choose from a number of planned activities from our award-winning programs.
Sometimes you may need a little extra support during the day. For our Assisted Living option, we offer a helping hand to residents who need assistance with tasks such as bathing, getting dressed, and taking medication. Our residents still enjoy all the benefits of senior living, including specialized programs, activities and social opportunities.
We customize our staff support, so you can live your life the way you want with the right care at the right time, delivered by the right people. We first start with a personal service assessment. During which we take the time to understand your needs and then establish clinical, dining and program support based on that information. We view our residents as partners, and we look forward to developing relationships with them to create a warm and friendly community experience.
For many years, our community has been delivering successful, safe and secure care to our residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. Utilizing the expertly designed Clare Bridge program, we’ve been successful at having a person-centered approach to Memory Care.
We offer a gentle daily structure (seven days per week) for residents where they get to enjoy programs, at least six per day, that are designed to maintain the resident’s abilities and to encourage the use of their current skills.
For example, one of our residents may enjoy an exciting discussion or brain-stimulating game as part of the “Morning Mental Workout.” Or a resident may take part in a group exercise or fun dancing activity as part of the “Daily Physical Activity.”
