Our Focus is to Provide the Best Care

Our skilled nursing care is backed by the experience and innovation that comes from being America’s largest senior living provider. Because Brookdale offers the best in skilled living, we are able to quickly and accurately care for our patients so that their stay is only as long as needed.

One reason why we are able to deliver high quality treatment is because we hire industry leaders to manage and oversee care administration. Brookdale’s Senior Vice President of Clinical Services is Kim Estes, a registered nurse with more than twenty years of experience in clinical operations, healthcare compliance and risk management. She earned a Masters of Science in Nursing Executive at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Estes has experience across the post-acute care continuum which has gained her extensive knowledge in the numerous regulatory healthcare environments. She also uses her expertise to serve as a member of the Argentum Clinical Quality Executive Roundtable, which gives executives in senior living the opportunity to interact and solve real-world business challenges facing senior living.

To assist care administration on the local level, Brookdale has medical directors to manage individual rehabilitation, skilled nursing and transitional programs. These physicians work alongside consulting M.D.’s who possess specialized expertise. That way many of our care centers can offer specialty programs for heart conditions, strokes, diabetes and others.

What You Can Expect From Us

As a national leader, we have the resources to help advance cutting edge medical practices as well as the funds to invest in research, which ensures that we stay at the forefront of skilled nursing care. Brookdale has participated in innovative studies like one project with University of North Texas Health Science Center and Florida Atlantic University to reduce hospital readmissions.

Our approach to patient care is to view everyone as an individual and not to define them by the physical condition that has brought them to us. One way we do this is through our Optimum Life program, which focuses on the emotional, psychological, spiritual and social aspects of wellness to provide a well-rounded care treatment.

Many of our rehab, skilled nursing and transitional programs are located on campuses that offer multiple care services like independent and assisted living. This benefits our patients because they’ll have access to different care options if their needs change in the future. It also means that our on-site clinical teams have the expertise and experience to help individuals and their families navigate through multiple and sometimes complex care situations.

At Brookdale, we go the extra mile to make our patients’ lives comfortable during their time in skilled nursing. For example, we’ve invested in creating a dining experience that’s pleasing for our patients. Overseen by our national Brookdale Culinary Arts Institute, our chefs create delicious cuisine that nourishes body and soul during the healing process. They’ll also work within the dietary needs of each individual and use fresh, local ingredients.
