More than 100 Brookdale communities are joining ConnectedLiving’s secure, easy-to-use Web-based social network. Using the ConnectedLiving network, Brookdale residents can access a customized home page that allows them to surf the Web in a protected environment, and choose from activities like sending and receiving email, sharing and viewing photographs, listening to audio books and music, and shopping online. The network is also helpful sharing daily activity updates at the Brookdale communities.
Access to ConnectedLiving’s network comes with individualized computer skills training for seniors and on-going support from ConnectedLiving’s team of “ambassadors,” who lead group activities and classes. Brookdale was the first senior living company to offer its residents and their family and friends access to ConnectedLiving. ConnectedLiving helps seniors live richer, more connected lives through training in the use of technology. Ultimately, the residents enjoy more frequent communication with family and friends, and increased social activity.
The ConnectedLiving Network is an award-winning social platform designed specifically for the senior living industry. Coupled with the company’s unique approach to training and support, it integrates social networking, distance learning, community menus and calendars, and an extensive administrator dashboard to help get entire communities online and connected. Founded in 2007, ConnectedLiving is transforming the experience of aging and connecting families across generations by combining simplified technology with high-touch personal support.
